Daintree Air have been showing clients the very best of the Great Barrier Reef for over 35 years. We know the best places to view from the air, snorkel from the surface and or dive from below the surface. It has taken us half a life time to learn just a little about the Great Barrier Reef. Let us pass this knowledge and information onto you. The experienced team will advise you on the optimum time for viewing and photographing the the magnificent aqua blue and opal like colors of the Great Barrier Reef. Flights organised between 9:30am and 2:30pm will always be premium times to fly due to the sun being at the best angle overhead the reef. The route flown will usually take in Green Island, Upolu Cay, Oyster, Arlington, Vlassof and Michaelmas Reefs as well as views of Cape Grafton, False Cape, Double Island and the Northern Beaches of Cairns including Palm Cove.

Maximum passengers weights accepted with out special individual planning and organisation is 115 kilos / 253 lbs.Daintree Air are under no obligation to up grade to larger planes .

Fantastic flight and excellent pilot. We were also lucky that the weather was superlative. The reef is amazing, we even got a good look at a whale with her calf. Wonderful experience that I highly recommend!
Highly recommended! Staff are friendly, give clear explanations. Can tell a lot about the reef. When spotting whales or dolphins, they watch with you and spin an extra lap so you can see them well. You will not receive a confirmation from the organization itself or an email at what time you need to be there but if you arrive half an hour in advance, you will be well in time!
Enjoyed flying with Daintree Air Services for my first scenic flight ✈️ of the reef for above! The organisation was great and they welcomed me in a friendly way and gave us the safety briefing. In no time it was time to fly and enjoy the small aircraft allocated for this trip. The seating 💺 is distributed according to weight and balance and was able to get a great view of either window seat 💺! The live pilot commentary was great to watch out the natural wonders below us and marble at the beautiful reef from the sky! We visited several areas of the reef including the Green island 🏝 and several outer reef locations where could catch a panoramic view of the reef stretching for miles against deep and light blue colours! The views were superb and the experience was exciting and well worth the trip! I would definitely recommend this adventure trip to whoever is visiting the reef and wants to get a birds 🐦 eye 👁 view! Arrived at Daintree Air services to a warm welcome, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great pre flight safety meeting prior to our trip, which was excellent. The flight over the great barrier reef was amazing and at low altitude of between 1 to 1.5 thousand feet, you could see everything so clearly. Our pilot Justin was very informative, which made the trip really good.. the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. We would highly recommend this company they made our day something we will never forget.. Steven, Joanne and Kim.. brilliant 👏
It was so excited experience. When I arrived early, they changed my flight to one leaving an hour earlier. In addition I was soaking wet from the rain when someone kindly spoke to me and lent me a towel.Thank you very much !

This is an excellent option if you want to have either an introduction of the main reefs around Cairns or just recap the reefs you visited during your vacation. I used this as a closing for my visit to Cairns. You get a real appreciation on the size of the reefs since you rarely see the entire things when on a boat.
Excellent tour! Daintree Air Services were fantastic. The weather on the day of our planned tour was unpleasant. The staff kept us fully informed of conditions and would not take off unless conditions were good and our viewing experience could be guaranteed. Fortunately (just as we were about to accept the offer to cancel) the skies cleared and we were able to head out. What an incredible experience. the views of the city and the reef were exceptional and well worth the time and expense. Not to mention the thrill of taking off and landing at an international airport by the pilot's side. And after the flight they shuttled us back to our hotel for a very small charge.
