Excellent experience (vegan + non-vegan)
We had a wonderful time with Edwin! He introduced delicious fruits and meals to us that we wouldn‘t have found on our own. No big fast food chains - only small local places. We are a mixed couple: one vegan and one who eats everything. Edwin made sure that both of us is happy in each place. Really glad we started our holiday with such a perfect experience. Thank you so much, Edwin!

Best food tour!
I loved this tour with Edwin! One of the best food tours I’ve been on in any city. We went to local places, known as huecas, as well as the central market. All of the food was tasty (buenaso!) and Edwin is incredibly knowledgable about the history of the food and Quito. It was really fun seeing different parts of the city than I’ve already seen and great to visit local eateries and restaurants where you can find good food for little money. I highly recommend this tour to everyone!

Best food tour!
I had the best time with Edwin, learning about and trying lots of different foods in the central market and at several different huecas (local, family run eateries/restaurants/holes in the wall places). Everything was tasty (buenaso) and the owners were friendly and welcoming! Edwin has depth of knowledge regarding Quito's history and food and I highly recommend this tour to everyone.

BEST THING TO DO IN QUITO!
Edwin’s food tour of Quito was the best thing we did in Ecuador, would 100% recommend it, food was great, value for money was great and we learned a lot about the city and history of Ecuador as well. We would never have known about or found the places which Edwin recommended and they were fantastic

100% one of the best things we’ve done in South America, the guide being vegetarian really helped and he had great knowledge of the veggie spots, all the food was perfect and we learned about the history of Quito too

Great experience with Edwin
Edwin was great! It felt like such a treat to get the inside scoop on Quito eats. My favorite part was the chocolate museum, where we got to sample over 10 different chocolates. We had good variety for the different food stops, and Edwin also gave us historical education as the tour went on.

Edwin was an amazing food tour guide in Quito! He was extremely kind, relaxed, and flexible with our individual wishes. We had such a great time with him and loved discovering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Ecuadorian food. It was the perfect introduction to Ecuadorian cuisine at the beginning of our trip and incredibly helpful. We would absolutely do this tour with Edwin again!
Operator response
Quito's cuisine is fascinating. Thanks for shearing all your great vibes with me and the city.
Best regards,
Edwin

More than a food tour — Edwin shares his city and his friends
Any tour that starts with handshakes and ends with hugs is a pretty good tour in my book. So it is with Edwin and his beautiful Quito food tour. His love for the city and its food is as real as it gets, but it is the relationships that he has cultivated that truly make this a memorable experience. And for the few hours you are walking the streets of Quito with him you get a front row seat to those relationships. My family and I had one real day in Quito during our visit to Ecuador and I cannot think of a better way to have spent it. We had different dietary needs and interests and there was something for everyone. Edwin really does tailor the tour to the group’s interests and is so good about dietary restrictions. We were all raving about the experience for days after and I know it will be an enduring family memory for us. There are so many specific things I could get into about our experience but I would not want to reveal too much about Edwin’s secret sauce! Let’s just say that he builds anticipation well and has some wonderful tricks up his sleeve. But they aren’t tricks really. They are simply the result of his warm personality and caring heart. He treats you as a friend introducing you to other friends and the feeling that leaves you lasts long after the delicious food has been consumed.
