3 - Days Manu National Park Tour from Cusco

Josè was an excellent guide, attentive and very knowledgeable; with his wisdom and calm, he inspired confidence.

Everything is good organised, the lodges where we stayed were clean , the cook that was with us cooked good and enough for us ! It is a very relaxed trip because you get a lot of free time in between activities. If you are searching for something more adventurous then this will be probably to chill. But other than that very good. Also our guide Michell made it pleasant for everyone:)

The only negative of this review is that the experience ended :( i honestly never wanted this trio to end. It was so fascinating to be in the Amazon with Nicolas and hear him talk about all of the animals and flora. We saw many monkeys, frogs, birds, fish and insects and even saw a wild Capybara! I wish I booked the longer 4 day experience because you go further into the jungle than the 3 days. I will never forget this experience for the rest of my life. The cooking was also fabulous and we were well fed and taken care off

From start to finish the trip was well planned, timely and very safe ! Jose our guide was extremely knowledgeable and seemed to spot animals out of nowhere. The list of animals we saw was incredible and we were lucky to be in such a great group of people who all got along great ! The rooms at the lodges are extremely comfortable, the food is incredible considering it’s cooked in the middle of a rainforest and you really feel a sense of being in a jungle. The boat trips, treks and river swim were all highlights. Now knowing how long the ride is I would definitely recommend booking a longer trip to get a deeper experience The only negative is the extremely long bus ride and on the way the bus was far too small for the size of people (all 6 foot +) and so was not comfortable nor could we really see out of windows. The tour company should upgrade the buses similar to the one they provided on the way back which was much better!

Overall, we enjoyed this tour. However, the morning after we returned from the tour, both my partner and I became seriously unwell with food poisoning. We were both hospitalised and diagnosed with Salmonella, which had a significant impact on the rest of our holiday. The timing of this food poisoning meant we were concerned about the food hygiene during the tour. All of the meat and other food for the three-day trip is transported from Cusco with the group, which made us question the food storage conditions. A cook travels with the group and prepares all meals. If you choose this tour, I would recommend opting for the vegetarian meals and avoiding washed raw fruit and vegetables as a precaution. There were eight people on our tour. The first day mainly involved travelling and descending into the cloud forest, with plenty of opportunities for birdwatching. The second day was particularly enjoyable. We visited a hummingbird café (there is an additional entrance fee), took a boat trip along the river, and went on several jungle walks. We saw snakes, countless insects, capybaras and giant river otters. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and helped make the experience memorable. The accommodation is rustic, with no hot water. At the second lodge, electricity is only available for a few hours each day, so I would recommend bringing a power bank to charge your phone and other devices. WiFi was available at the first lodge. One small downside was that the tour guide repeatedly reminded the group to tip the driver and cook over the course of the final day. While I appreciate that tips are customary and the staff work hard, the frequent reminders made me feel a little uncomfortable, as it felt somewhat pressured rather than left to the group's discretion. Overall, we genuinely enjoyed the tour while we were there, and the wildlife and guide were excellent. Unfortunately, becoming seriously ill immediately afterwards overshadowed what would otherwise have been a fantastic experience. To their credit, the tour company refunded 50% of the tour cost in recognition of what happened.

I went on the 3 day tour with my best friend. Awesome experience so cool we saw lots of animals and take a river boat a few times. Michele was our guide and he was fantastic he knew what every bird/plant was! Wish I had more time do do the 6 day tour!

The tour was excellent. On the drive to the rainforest, the driver/guide stopped at every opportunity to view and photograph the wildlife. There were multiple opportunities to see everything we wanted to see. The guide was very knowledgeable, took the time to explain everything we saw, and answered every question. The chef was outstanding and the food was far greater than expected. Overall I would recommend this tour and the staff to anyone wanting an immersive experience in the Amazon for 3 days.

We went on tour with Nicolas. Nicolas is a biologist and is a font of knowledge and wisdom of all life , both flora and fauna. He was an extremely intelligent and wise man. His own love of nature shone through his guiding. He showed great patience with all of us and never tired of our questions. Nicolas knew every bird and monkey call and could replicate them. His background as a researcher in biology was evident in his manner and understanding. He was mindful of all skill levels in hiking and observing. He shared his knowledge generously and was always both kind and gentlemanly. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. My only regret is that we did not spend more time with Nicolas 🙏🏽

Jose was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and patient. He was very thoughtful and always tried his best to give us the best experience during the trip. He made the trip truly incredible, the provided food and accommodation was also great.
