3 Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Pygmies Experience

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Uganda. Our Guide Brian was our entry to this exciting world. He is an excellent driver very caring and thoughtful. The bonus is that he was a park Ranger with the gorillas in bwindi so was able to tell us lots of facts and information prior to our experience. Everything ran smoothly. We particularly loved the da Vinci gorilla Lodge the staff there were wonderful, caring and always there as soon as we needed anything In preparation for the trip, Patrick was always available during ‎WhatsApp and we were very grateful for him for finding us a wonderful guide in Brian. I encourage everyone to go to Uganda and Rwanda It is safe with happy friendly people.

Excellent tour to see gorillas in Bwindi. Michelle responded quickly to emails and questions. She gave us excellent advice on what to wear and what vaccines were mandatory. They were flexible with pick up times (we had some airline delays). Our driver, Godfrey, was punctual and glad to share tons of info about the region and culture. And the actual once in a life time gorilla experience exceeded our expectations.

Our Mountain Gorilla safari in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park was the highlight of our trip to East Africa — truly a bucket-list experience that surpassed all expectations. Trekking through the dense rainforest and spending an unforgettable hour with a family of wild mountain gorillas was incredibly moving. Watching the silverback, playful juveniles, and mothers with babies up close felt magical and deeply humbling. The park guides and trackers were outstanding: knowledgeable, safety-conscious, and passionate about conservation, which made the encounter even more meaningful. Our driver, Godfrey, played a huge role in making the whole journey smooth and enjoyable. He safely handled the long round-trip drive from Kigali to Bwindi and back, sharing interesting stories along the way. On our final morning, despite heavy traffic in Kigali, Godfrey expertly navigated the roads and ensured we arrived at the airport well on time. His reliability, professionalism, and friendly attitude added greatly to the trip. He is the guy! If you’re considering a gorilla trek in Uganda, go for it — Bwindi delivers an awe-inspiring, well-organized experience you’ll never forget. Would you recommend this to a friend? Absolutely yes! We had an incredible mountain gorilla safari in Uganda, made even better by our driver, Godfrey. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable throughout the trip, making every journey comfortable and enjoyable. Seeing the mountain gorillas was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and everything was well organized from start to finish. A special thank you to Godfrey for going the extra mile to ensure we reached Kigali Airport on time despite the heavy traffic. Eco were recommended to us so we never looked around or did any comparisons. We would recommend them to anyone else. Eco looked after getting permits, picked us up and took us back to our accommodation and also booked accommodation for us in the forest. All was super and worked without a hitch. Michelle was a super communicator and Eric a super driver and travel companion. We have memories to last our lifetime.

We had a great experience with Eco-Adventures! My initial communications were with Michelle and Patrick who facilitated our reservation process, answered questions honestly about Ebola and ensured our trip wouid start off a success. A few days before our scheduled trip it was confirmed Abdul would be our guide. From this point on meeting Abdul was akin to making a new friend. My sons and I spent over 8 hours in the car riding from Kigali and back as part of our 3 day gorilla trekking experience. Abdul was an excellent host, we had great conversations and laughs whether in the car or at our meals together. He didn’t hesitate to make sure our needs were being met and that we were happy, it truly was a joy spending time with him We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Eco-Adventures. You’ll come away with not only unforgettable memories from your gorilla trek but also a new friend in Abdul!

We had an incredible time with Eco Adventure Safaris trekking the gorillas. We have done safaris in 4 different countries at this point, and I would take this trekking experience over those experiences every time. It was incredible. Our guide, Charles, was very knowledgeable and was able to answer our many, many questions about Uganda and the gorillas. He knew all the best places to eat lunch and stop for coffee on the way to Bwindi, too. Our accommodation (we did the medium level) was also perfect with top level service. Eco Adventure Safaris were incredibly helpful in guiding us on the gear we might need, what to expect, and how to go about getting a visa for Uganda. I would recommend this tour and this company to those that want to give gorilla trekking a try.

My safari in Uganda with Eco Adventure Safaris was an outstanding experience, and a big part of that was thanks to my guide, Brian. Brian was exceptional — his knowledge of wildlife was extensive, and his strong local connections with rangers made a real difference. Thanks to him, we had truly spectacular encounters that felt both rare and perfectly timed. Over the course of the trip, I was able to experience gorillas, chimpanzees, and even the famous tree-climbing lions — an unforgettable and rare sight. The hotel selection was also excellent, striking the right balance between comfort and immersion in nature. Uganda itself is still relatively uncrowded, which makes the experience even more special. You can really feel a strong ecological focus in how tourism is managed, and it’s clear the country has an incredible future ahead as a safari destination. A huge thank you again to Brian for making this trip so memorable. I couldn’t recommend Eco Adventure Safaris more.

We had the best time on this tour. Our guide Viany was amazing and answered all of our questions and made us feel so safe and taken care of. He picked us up at 2am from the airport and drove us to our accommodation at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge, which was such a beautiful, special place to stay. Our day of gorilla trekking was incredible. I highly recommend this tour.
