3-Day Tour: Mycenae, Epidaurus, Nafplio, Delphi, Meteora With 4* Hotel Included

We only had two weeks in Greece, which is little time to see this wonderful country. After Athens we wanted to venture out and see other important archaeological sites. This was the PERFECT way to do that. We had a driver, George, for all 3 days who helped us pack in as much as we could - however, he was open to a slower more relaxing pace if that's what we wanted- but we really wanted to see as many sites in 3 days as we could. We had excellent LICENSED guides at Mycenae, Delphi, and Meteora. Touring these sites without a private guide is just not the same. We learned SO much. Wonderful guides. George went above and beyond every day. He shared all his thoughts on Greece as a life long Athenian. Our teenagers loved asking him questions. I think many people miss out by just seeing Athens then heading to the islands. Greece has so many breathtaking world class historical sites. This tour is the way to see several amazing ones. Cannot recommend enough. Also - George helped us find these restaurants in some of the smaller towns that ended up being some of the best meals we've had in Greece.

We had an excellent tour to Meteora, Delphi, Mycenae, and Nafplio. We wanted to have some time outside Athens to visit these sights, and using Crispy Local removed all the stress. Nathan was very flexible and was always on call for us!

Wow what an amazing experience! We went on a private tour with Crispy Local and Antonius was our driver/guide. First the experience was progressively more amazing. Our tour was a custom 4-day version that combined the 3- and 5- day. Acropolis was a sight to behold, and April was the best season to go with less tourists but great warm weather but not too hot. The tour combined seeing the historical landmarks and the museum that housed many of the artifacts. The local guide was incredibly knowledgeable. The second day was Napfolio, Epidaurusanf Mycenae with a local guide who told us a lot of myths and stories from the civilization. Third day in Delphi was quite amazing, first we visited the museum with the impressive artifacts, then we visited the site itself. We learned a lot about Greek culture and the way the Oracle happened. Then we made a stop at Thermopylae to visit the historical site of where the 300 movie happened on our way to Meteora. Meteora was AMAZING. Its landscape was out of this world, it looked like aliens planted the whole thing. Then to add on top you have these monasteries built on top of these dramatic rocks. Antonius drove us around for the most scenic spots, and because of his great organization we didn't have to fight with other tourists for phot spots. Then finally on the fourth day we visited two of the monasteries with a local guide, whether you are a Christian or not, you can appreciate the art and construction of these incredible structures, and understand the hard lives the monks lived. Throughout the trip Antonius filled us with information about pieces of history and he was a great driver and tour organizer as well. He offered us many scenic spots to take photos, and he was very flexible with timing and it really contributed towards our enjoyment of the experience. First of all the organization of this trip by Crispy Local was perfect for such a limited time. It enabled us to fulfill a lifelong dream of experiencing Ancient Greek archeological sites -- and letting us do it at our own snail paced, curious, inquisitive pace. The tour paired an excellent driver -- Giannis--with experienced tour guides/historians, a great itinerary and finally added awesome selections for restaurants and hotels that we would never have been able to find ourselves. Kudos to Giannis, our driver, who is such a fun, generous, delightful man! We enjoyed spending time with him so much-- which is something you might be concerned about if you're traveling with someone in a car for 3 full days! But no worries there -- he is easygoing but thoughtful, anticipating everything. We loved how Giannis took such good care of us! To book this tour was one of the best decisions we have ever made on a vacation. It removed the stress of driving in a foreign country, of knowing where to stay or to eat that aren't tourist traps, having someone escort you around gently without having to walk in lockstep with the timetable of a big group. This is the way to do it, if you can! Crispy Local is definitely the way to go. In every choice they made, you could see the attention to excellence and their wonderful humanity. They attended conscientiously to everything we wished for and more. They were very open to customizing any tour, and were so open and accommodating at every step of the way. My husband and I had a magical week in Greece and this little trip was the highlight!
