Matt has been an absolutely fabulous guide over our 5 days with him. We joked that he can teleport because somehow he always appears exactly where needed! 👍 He also has a wonderfully quirky dry sense of humour and quickly worked out who in the group was the easiest to tease! Matt easily found convenience stores when we were in need of coffee, cold drinks, snacks & toilets stops, and he knows the best places for incredible photo opportunities. His van is well kitted out with wifi, portable chargers, and a rubbish bag - because of our convenience stops. 🤣 Nothing was ever a problem and he always goes out of his way to help.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review.
Matt was an exceptional tour guide! We had a week trip and spent 3.5 days with Matt and it was the best decision!! He is accommodating, knowledgeable, so smart, and always will go above and beyond. We would 100% use him again and recommend him for any length of stay in Japan.
It was lovely guiding you both. Please have a safe journey.
Matt and this tour was amazing! 10/10 recommend! We didn’t want to leave after the tour ended.
Our tour guide Matt from Viator is a wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable person. He is a great photographer as well. He did an excellent job. He even put his effort to buy me a cake to blow during the day of my birthday. Greatly appreciated his thoughtfulness.
My husband and I traveled to Japan in March, and were overwhelmed with how much there was to see. We wanted to visit some of the major cities and becuase I'd never been there, I was having a difficult time trying to figure out where to go and how to get there. I found Matt and Nihon Travel and it was a perfect solution! We got to see so much more of the country in the three days it took to get from Tokyo to Osaka than we would have if we'd been on our own. Matt is kind and patient and very flexible with the plans. He is fluent in Japanese and his knowledge of the country and it's history is excellent. I would definitely recommend this tour, but keep in mind it is very fast paced. Thank you Matt for being an excellent guide and we wish you nothing but success!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. You were wonderful guests.
Thank you so much Matt for being the best tour guide we could ever have! You made our first trip to Japan memorable and so worth it. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for leaving a review. I really appreciate it. :)
I would give Matt 100 stars if it was possible. He treated us well and made sure we saw all the sites we wanted to see, plus alternate options. He also had us use many of his discounts at various locations and kept in touch with us through the remainder of our stay in Japan to make sure we were doing well and if we had any additional questions. Our family of 5 appreciate Matt and wish we could take him home with us hahaha!
Thank you so much. It was my pleasure guiding your family.
The tour guide Matt, picked us up from the cruise terminal and that was extremely helpful. For an extra charge he took us around Tokyo to see the highlights the day before the tour started. He even stopped at a pharmacy to help us get some cold medicine, which was so helpful because all of the packaging was in Japanese. The next day we started the 3 day trip to Mt. Fuji, Nara, Kyoto and Osako. It was an amazing 3 days and we saw such a wide variety of Temples, Shrines and other cultural sites that it gave us a real glimpse of Japan and the countryside. Matt went out of his way to make the trip interesting and educational. His flexibility gave us many options about the sites we wanted to see. He was very knowledgeable about the traditions and culture of Japan since he has lived there for the last 25 years. The tour ended in Osaka and we had to get back to Tokyo's Narita Airport. We wanted to experience the Bullet Train, and Matt made all the arrangements and got the tickets for us. Then he walked us through how we had to change trains to get to the Airport. That was clearly above and beyond the call of duty, but that is Matt, always doing extra to make the tour more enjoyable. If we ever go to Japan again we will definitely call Matt to be our guide and whole heartedly recommend him to everyone.
Thank you. I hope you can visit again and spend some time relaxing on the little islands near Hiroshima.
Matt is the most amazing guide that we have ever had in our world travels. He took us to great sites and he was extremely knowledgeable about the locations. He picked great places for us to stay and eat. He spoke both English and Japanese which was extremely important to us as we toured Japan. He even helped us get to our next location in Japan after our tour with him was over. We can't say enough about him. If you get a chance to go with Matt you can't go wrong.
Thank you so much. It was lovely guiding you.
Very helpful and professionnal. We also had him for our airport transfer. I think Matt always help, even someone outside of our group but sees him with the sign and asks him ways or to take photos.
Thank you for visiting. It was a pleasure guiding your family.
