Accompanied by our guide Harrison, I experienced three amazing days. A trip packed with beautiful destinations with also in between many beautiful (extra) stops. Harrison knows a lot about the island and its history. There is also plenty of space and time along the way to relax and look out the window at the insanely beautiful landscape accompanied by beautiful Scottish music. Despite the program being full, it doesn't feel rushed. There is plenty of time to make full use of all stops and destinations. The programme is very varied and gives a very good impression of the West Highlands and of Isle of Skye. The nights at the Skye Inn are sublime.....fantastic rooms and a very good breakfast and dinner. Harrison is a guide for whom nothing seems too much. With great dedication and enthusiasm he tells a lot of stories. He drives you everywhere smoothly and very agile, also tells a lot about the music he plays and, even plays guitar!!! With a wonderful sense of humor and a lot of energy, he makes the trip unforgettable. He showed us many extra things and he knew how to choose the most beautiful viewpoints. He is very nice and as a guest you feel immediately at ease. In short.....very, very, highly recommended!!!
Marin was a great guide, very polite, pro, patient and fun
Excellent tour to get to know the Highlands in Scotland, the tour starts with a nice ride on the Jacobite train, to then travel by ferry to the Isle of Skye. It is a very complete trip of the Highlands, impressive landscapes, very good food. The hotel in Portree could be a little better, but nothing serious. The best part of the trip was the guide Louise, very fun, with many stories and knowledge.
Martin is a very good guide , kind patient and clear
I had a great time on the three day Isle of Skye tour. The itinerary was great, we saw and learnt a lot. Our guide Martin was fun with his many stories, he made sure that everyone on the tour was catered for. It was a lot of fun. The accomodation provided at the Sky Inn was clean and cute. I highly recommend this tour and our guide Martin.
We had an amazing 3-day tour to the Isle of Skye. Our guide (Martin) was kind, friendly, and funny, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. He told great stories, shared lots of interesting information, and made sure everyone felt included throughout the trip. His enthusiasm and sense of humor really made the tour special. Highly recommend!
Amazing tour. Martin is a really fun guide and amazing story teller!!!! 1000/10
My wife and I had a brilliant time on our tour. You know the landscapes are stunning. But it was our guide, Harrison, who made the experience truly special. From the moment he picked us up at Inverness, he was spinning interesting tales of Scottish folklore and history, playing fun traditional and modern Scottish music (with interesting tidbits about all the artists), and pointing out all the best places to eat and drink. We had some otherworldly donuts at his recommendation I won’t soon forget. Plus, he was a hell of a driver on those Skye roads and genuinely funny. He also seemed to have an uncanny knack for getting us everywhere at the perfect time to limit the crowds and nab the best views. Cheers!
This tour was the highlight of our time in Scotland. Our guide, Harrison was a self-proclaimed nerd who knew so much about the history, the legends, the flora, and the fauna. Not to mention his music selections were spot on. We were able to see and do so much while on this tour. We especially enjoyed day 2 on Skye. The Fairy Pools are extraordinary! We were fortunate to have wonderful weather, too! The accomodations in Portree were nice and conveniently located just a short walk from the center of town. We enjoyed spending our evenings there. Stop considering it and book this trip...it is well worth the cost.
Our guides Martin and Tim were fantastic! Very knowledgeable, kind, and entertaining. We saw so much more than we would have touring on our own - definitely recommend.
