Goska was a great tow guide even during her husband was running the Warsaw Marathon. Very engaging and knowledgeable.

This tour reveals the dramatic story of 20th-century Warsaw—a city shaped by modernity, war, and postwar transformation. Beginning among early skyscrapers like the iconic Prudential Tower, you’ll trace the rise of a dynamic prewar metropolis, with stops including the elegant Wedel Historic House. Walking through the very heart of the city, you’ll encounter powerful contrasts: the monumental Palace of Culture and Science, a symbol of the communist era, and the hauntingly preserved Próżna Street—the last intact street of the former Jewish Ghetto, where echoes of wartime history still linger. The tour continues through the vast socialist-era housing complex 'Za Żelazną Bramą', offering insight into everyday life under communism, before concluding at the revitalized Norblin Factory—a striking example of how Warsaw blends its industrial heritage with contemporary urban culture.

Goska was a great tow guide even during her husband was running the Warsaw Marathon. Very engaging and knowledgeable.
Gawker (phonetically) was very good. He was w very engaging. We had a very diverse group (Sweden, Cypress, France, US and Central America). Had no problem communicating with us. Very knowledgeable guide.
Such a great and informative tour. The tour guide was great
Peter was great, we heard a lot of new stories from him.
This was a great way to spend my first day in Warsaw, and helped me better understand why the city looks the way it does. While it’s hard to talk about Warsaw without talking about WWII, I appreciated the broader lens taken in this tour, which helped contextualize what came before and after. Goska was an excellent guide, and the personal experiences she shared helped add a human layer to the history of Warsaw. Highly recommend!
We had a fantastic tour with Albert!

We joined the Orange Umbrella walking tour in Warsaw covering communism, World War II and Jewish history, and it was an excellent experience. Our guide, Iga, was knowledgeable, engaging and passionate. She explained Warsaw’s complex history clearly and brought it to life through fascinating stories and details. We learned a great deal and gained a much deeper understanding of the city and its past. Highly recommended—and ask for Iga if you can!
