Sunset Drinks/Dining/local food picnic package: Sadegul (host) — wow, what an experience. It was incredible. The level of detail and precision was amazing. I originally reached out to her after another operator had to cancel my booking. I wanted to do another remote dinner across two nights, so I chose this company for my final night — and wow. Once we started speaking and she sent me photos, I knew she had experience. That’s when she told me she had only just joined GetYourGuide and had previously done all her bookings privately or through agencies. So don’t let the low number of reviews fool you. Every single detail was thought of: ambient music, even camels in the distance (!), and an optional floodlight if you wanted more light later in the evening. I wanted to explore local Turkish food, and that’s exactly what I received — the portions of food were huge. The value for money didn’t match the level of the experience; for the amount of detail, service and food we received, I would have happily paid double. Unlike other experiences or dinners where you have set courses, this experience is self-paced. It’s called a sunset picnic with wine and snacks; however, it’s actually a very substantial dinner. You can choose when you stop and start, so the hosts aren’t constantly interrupting you and asking, “Do you want the next course?” You simply go at your own pace. We watched the sun go down and then watched the landscape slowly become dark. I loved sitting there with my partner under the stars. We stayed for around two hours after sunset and could have stayed even longer, but we were conscious that the staff would eventually want to go home! Even after we left, Sadegul continued to help us with any other needs, questions and suggestions during our stay. She was a fantastic host, as were her assistants. Just wow. This is high-class, elegant and full of finesse. I had previously asked another operator whether I could have fewer props and less clutter, as I find a lot of the props used for these types of experiences can look outdated or tacky. Here, there was none of that — less is more. It was so beautiful. She let her food do the talking, complemented by a minimalist but simple and elegant setup. Everything felt considered without being overdone. I cannot fault this experience at all. What a wonderful experience. We enjoyed her food and the whole experience so much that we actually found her restaurant in town and visited her again. Dishes are from a restaurant in Ürgüp called "Sade Meze Kapadokya"
