The Belfry's origin and its current problems, along with the wealth of the cloth halls
Bruges in the First and Second World Wars, as well as the independence of Belgium.
The Gothic gate of Gruuthuse, as well as the companies that offer tours on the canals.
The Gruuthuse Museum and the beer story. We are standing in the courtyard of this beautiful Gothic castle and hearing how the resident became wealthy with Gruut. and why we were forced to switch from Gruut to hops.
The church of Bruges with the Pietà and other priceless artworks.
How medicine in the Middle Ages led to the creation of pralines.
By the water, we take our photo with the beautiful medieval backdrop as our setting.
The picturesque Walplein with the famous brewery that has a pipeline under the city.
The red light district of Bruges... in the Middle Ages. The smallest street in Bruges, yet one that gave rise to many customs. The darker side of the swans is also revealed here.
Everything you want regarding chocolate, waffles and fries. But also the plague and the dark days of Bruges.
The Bonifacius Bridge. The ultimate bridge of love, but one with some 'dubious' sides. The most picturesque spot in Bruges. In the Medieval gardens of Bruges.
The Groeningemuseum, where Jan van Eyck, Hans Memling, Hugo van der Goes, Gerard David, and many other Flemish Primitives are immortalized. World-renowned 15th-century paintings, each with their own story.
The Dijver. The oldest port of Bruges. Where the Vikings loaded all their loot to transport to Scandinavia. But also offering a beautiful view of one of the most famous terraces in Bruges.
The photo spot of Bruges. Incredibly beautiful. This is where you can take THE photo of Bruges, capturing the Belfry, the Church of Our Lady, all in one shot. Along with the hotel from which Colin Farrell jumped out of a window in the film 'In Bruges'.
Here, stories come to life about the tanners of the Middle Ages. Probably the most foul-smelling job ever. Once the dirtiest and most unhygienic square in Bruges. Today, it's the spot to satisfy your hunger and thirst.
Two fish markets... for two types of people, or so they thought. The entrance to the central square of Bruges, where Gothic, Renaissance, and Classicist styles blend together. A feast for the eyes, even if you're not an architecture enthusiast.
The town hall, the blood chapel, the courthouse... all styles united on the Burg with some strong true stories as a conclusion.

We probably did 6 “free” walking tours while on this trip in Europe, but this was by far the best one. Peter was our guide. He was passionate about his city, very easy to understand and very knowledgeable and humorous. I would highly recommend.
Very interesting, the 2 hours went really fast! Nice chap, made the tour interesting and factual with out being boring.
The tour was good. I would have understood more if the explanations had been slower paced. Sometimes it was hard to understand the guide, especially for people who speak English as a second language.
The guide mainly wanted to be funny, while I like good information more. I was sorry about that. I learned very little from the tour.
It was a nice walk. The group was too big and therefore the walk took much longer than expected. In addition, the age composition as stated on the site was not looked at.
The city tour of Bruges was simply great! Our guide conveyed the history of the city in an exciting way with a lot of knowledge and told funny anecdotes every now and then. The tour was entertaining and very interesting. I would do it again anytime and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bruges.
Peter was an amazing tour guide with great stories, energy, and fun stops with the best goodies along the way. The tour was very interesting and informative. And Peter’s tips for shopping, eating, and adventures were wonderful. We had a little trouble booking through TripAdvisor. So most of other excursions were booked through Viator with no problems. Our group was English speaking with people from all over the world. Peter is patient, clear, and a fantastic steward of Bruges. We adored our time with him!
Very humorous and informative tour through Bruges, would gladly do it again.
We had a great time and we’re vastly entertained by our guide, Peter was very informative and add a lot of humor to the experience. The tour was definitely worth it.
Fantastic tour of Beautiful Bruges with Peter. On a day of perfect weather, Peter was enthusiastic about his home city, full of interesting historical facts, comedy and his famous explanations of where British phrases originated from! Thanks again Peter!
