We understand how concerning it can be to see pending authorizations when a reservation has not been successfully completed. While authorization holds are ultimately released according to the card issuer's processing timeline, we recognize that this does not make the situation any less frustrating when you're trying to finalize plans for your trip. We're also disappointed to hear that you did not feel supported when you reached out for assistance as pending funds were not received. When a payment is declined, the transaction receives a final rejected status and no money is transferred to the merchant. The pending amount you may see on your account is typically a temporary authorization hold placed by your bank or card issuer during the payment attempt process. Unfortunately, neither our payment processor Shift4 nor SpeedVegas can manually remove or release these authorization holds. They can only be removed by the cardholder's bank according to the bank's policies and timelines. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and apologize that your experience with us began this way.
