We had an amazing experience on our 2-day Inca Trail hike and Machu Picchu tour with our tour guide Mr. Gilbert. He was extremely knowledgeable, informative, and professional throughout the entire trip. One of the highlights was how well he connected with our two kids. He kept them engaged and entertained throughout the hike while sharing fascinating information about the surrounding flora, fauna, Inca history, and important archaeological landmarks along the trail. He also took some amazing pictures of our family along the way, which gave us wonderful memories to take home. Kids loved calling him Mr. G. The following day, our tour of Machu Picchu on Circuit 3B was equally impressive. The weather was rainy and there was quite a bit of fog, but our guide was flexible and adjusted the schedule to help us get the best possible views and experience the site without missing the important highlights. He went above and beyond to make the entire trip smooth and stress-free. He was always punctual, made sure we had all our bus and train tickets ready, and helped us with recommendations for restaurants and shopping spots in Aguas Calientes. We highly recommend him for the Short Inca Trail, Machu Picchu, and other hiking experiences. His knowledge, professionalism, flexibility, and genuine care for our family made the trip truly special. We would definitely choose him again!
Jose, Alex and everyone else involved did an excellent job, the food on the way by the chefs was delicious, the accommodation was great (both the hotel + breakfast and the predetermined restaurants for dinner and lunch) and Jose did everything as a guide to make every participant feel comfortable and receive as much information as possible about the culture and Machu Picchu. In addition, Jose’s English is excellent and the photography skills of all the guides involved are excellent. Would do this trip again immediately and recommend to anyone!
We had a fabulous time doing the short Inca trek and visiting Machu Picchu. Gilbert our guide was brilliant, always making sure we were ok and never rushed. He was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information about the trail and a very in depth tour of MP the next day. Both him and Dani (the second guide) took plenty of photos for us too. Food was fabulous, a good breakfast at the trail head and a delicious full cooked lunch with loads of options. The trek is a challenge but really beautiful and walking through the sun gate to get your first glimpse of Machu Picchu is so special and well worth it. The communication from the office could have been better and they were slow to respond to queries but once we had the briefing details from Gilbert and started the trek. Everything was perfect.
Every aspect of the tour was well-organised and enjoyable. Pepe was a superb tour guide who was passionate and knowledgable about his environment and very caring towards everyone in the group. The food provided during the hike was also excellent. Machu Picchu is a truly remarkable place, highly recommend seeing with with Pepe!
Once in a lifetime experience. Our guide, David, was excellent - very knowledgeable, passionate about Inca history and the native wildlife. He was very patient with our developing hiking skills. The chefs also prepared a great breakfast and lunch.
We had an amazing time with our tour guide Edy the Puma! He made us all feel like family and the tour was very well organised. Food was amazing! Could not recommend this tour enough.
We had a great time with Thony on our 2-day Inca trail trip to Machu Picchu! The hike, food, and tours of Machu Picchu were all wonderful! Our pickup on the first morning was somewhat challenging since we stayed in Urubamba instead of Cusco but everything else was great, especially our main guide, Thony!
An incredible experience, everything super well organized. Our guide Edy the puma is super good and experienced, he makes the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu an unforgettable experience. Totally recommended. Thank you for this great experience. Nuria
This tour was perfect for people who enjoy and are good a hiking but want to stay in a comfortable hotel in between hiking the Inca trail and exploring Machu Picchu. Our main tour guide Tony was very knowledgeable, nice, and accommodating. Raul, our second guide, was encouraging and also just as knowledgeable. Both guides made the trip so special. The views from this trip are something so special and I would highly recommend. However, make sure to follow the detailed packing guide for your day pack, you will need it! Also, bring a change of clothes for the night in Aguas Calientes for dinner. Overall, I loved this trip, even if some parts kicked my butt!
Truly unforgettable experience. Our guide, Juan, was truly second to none. When I tell you this is the tour to book… THIS IS THE TOUR TO BOOK!!! Amazing experience and super grateful to everyone at TreXperience.
