Description
Your 2,5 -hour walking tour starts from the Catalani Church, an example of Arab-Norman style. Then you will continue to the City Hall, the biggest palace ever rebuilt after the earthquake of 1908. The Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, located in Antonello Square, is the second one in Southern Italy. An highlight of the tour is the Cathedral Square, with its the beautiful bell tower which was built between 1930 and 1933. The tour will end at the Museum of the Sicilian Puppet Theater, an exhibition of the priceless collection of Gargano Family.

The guide Roberto was very well documented about the history, culture and gastronomy of Messina. The experience was pleasant and at a good pace, made with great elegance by the guide. Since my initial reservation did not have enough travelers, the company suggested that I join a gastronomic tour that would try to include much of what would be my original tour. They were agile and very communicative in resolving this issue. As for the gastronomic tour, it was interesting, delicious and ended with a small taste of wines that was a real surprise.
Sabrina, our guide, was knowledgeable and thorough. The bell tower was a great highlight.
Charming Sicilian town that is not touristy at all. Enjoy gelato outside on the sidewalk or have a delicious sidewalk meal. No need for those ridiculous expensive tours. Just stroll and take it all in.

The guide was very knowledgeable. However, he was difficult to understand as he spoke too fast and was not really clear. Also, he has a hygiene problem, both in terms of odor and dandruff. I definitely would not want to do the tour with Claudio again.
