This is an amazing and magic archaeological zone with 3 amazing pyramids and a little museum. The Pyramid of the Sun is the 8th largest in the world. This prehispanic city reached its maximum splendor approximately between 200 - 400 AD and it extended over 2000 acres, with an estimated population of 120 000 inhabitants. Teotihuacan was the largest city in Mesoamerica and the most important for trading. Without doubt, Teotihuacan is an example of greatness, a smart urban settlement and cultural wealth.

The pick up will be at your hotel or any other address in Mexico city. The transfer to the archaeological zone has a duration around 1 hour 15 minutes.
We will visit this little museum that contains objects and vestiges found in the pyramids. We will know about the history and culture of Teotihuacan's civilization that lives from 100 b.C. to 600 a.D. We will visit the rooms where you can see many prehispanic handcrafts.
In this route walking trough the Roadway of the Dead We will visit the Pyramid of the Sun (the biggest), the Pyramid of the Moon, the Quetzalpapalotl Palace, the Temple of the Feathered Conch Shell, the yard of the jaguars and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl.

Our visit to the Teotihuacán Pyramids was truly memorable, largely because of Alicia, our spectacular official guide. She was exceptionally knowledgeable and brought the ancient city to life through engaging stories and clear explanations. We did have to pay an additional fee to the tour operator for an official guide inside the Teotihuacán archaeological site, but it was absolutely worth it—especially because our guide was Alicia. She spent ample time with us and never made the experience feel rushed. She carefully explained the pyramids, the surrounding area, and the rich history behind them in a way that was easy to follow and genuinely fascinating. Her passion for the subject came through throughout the tour. The private car and driver experience were average. The driver arrived on time, which we appreciated, but he spoke only Spanish, so there was very little communication during the drive there and back. Overall, we would recommend the experience, particularly if you can have Alicia as your official guide inside the Teotihuacán Pyramids. Teotihuacán is the ancient archaeological site northeast of Mexico City that includes the famous pyramids and ceremonial avenue.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 100% Private Tour in Teotihuacán Pyramids from Mexico City. Our bilingual tour host, Abraham Gabriel, provided an excellent experience. Most importantly, the tour focused entirely on the sights with absolutely no forced shopping experiences. Highly recommend!

My wife and I were extremely disappointed with our tour. Miguel arrived at our apartment on time, the car was great. His English was perfect and he was very friendly and polite. He also dropped us by the Zócalo on the way back as we asked, a very nice man. Our issue was that we booked the tour specifically so that we could have an in depth expert on the site, not just a comfortable drive. Miguel provided very little information on the site and almost nothing that we did not know from reading the Wikipedia page on Teotihuacan. He injected opinions that were at odds with archeological records - including such things as viking influences on mesoamericanan culture and artifacts as well as presenting a theory he heard from a Mormon family he guided once. During the drive and the tour he mostly spoke about his personal business, experiences, political views and personal theories about the site rather than the conclusions of anthropologists studying the site. We've traveled to many places including the Yucatan, Guatemala and Egypt and have found experts in history with knowledge of the local sites. We were extremely disappointed that we have not been able to find this with this company company. To anyone reading this we would suggest that you arrange for a guide from the archeological site itself rather than hiring one that doesn't have qualifications if you are interested in the actual history of the site. We also expressed our displeasure to the company in private after our experience and was told "What do you want me to do about it?"
SOrry, yu are confused about this review due to we dont have any guide called MIGUEL and We have not received any dissapointed comment for tourists with a response like "What do you want me to do about it?" due to we dont have this kind of reply

We had a great time with our guide, Ruben. He picked us up at our hotel in time and we then drove to Cholula to see the Church on the pyramid and then we went to Puebla. Both places were awesome to visit. Ruben is very knowledgeable in Mexico’s rich cultural history and I don’t think we could have found a more informative guide. He is passionate about his job which made our tour even better. Puebla is such a beautiful place, with its awesome churches, wonderful people and architecture, we would like to visit again. When we return to Mexico City we will definitely book with Epic Journeys for our tours.

We were picked up from our hotel, driven to the Pyramids/Temples, offered Chris & ice cold water on route by our driver-Judy. Once we arrived at the site we were meet by our guide Christian, who was brilliant & very knowledgeable. Our tour was even adapted for us to include a lunch stop on our return journey to our hotel. We had a most excellent day out, I would recommend to anyone. Pats (our tour organiser) was very patient with me while booking, as I was having credit card issues. N.B. Any extras (like our lunch stop) will of course come at an extra cost. Also the guide may not be included in the total price as advertised, as the archaeological site has changed its rules in April 2026. Our tour guide was fantastic. He has been a guide for 15 years and was able to share so many details. He found the perfect picture spots too. I recommend this tour.
