My Second Uganda Safari with Safari Vacations – Chimpanzees, Wildlife & an Amazing Team This was my second visit to Uganda this year. I came back because after my first trip in February, I simply couldn’t stop thinking about the chimpanzees! Everything had gone so smoothly the first time that I decided to return — and once again I chose Safari Vacations and my guide Bosco. My itinerary included a boat trip to Mabamba Wetland to see the Shoebill, three days in Murchison Falls, rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, and four days of chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. After meeting Bosco for the first time in February, I already thought he was a good and funny guide. But during this second trip, I realised that Bosco is truly an amazing guide. He found a lioness for me during the night safari, and at the very last minute he organised a sunset boat cruise in Murchison Falls. Some of my favourite and most beautiful videos from the whole safari were filmed during that cruise. And then there was Kibale… Bosco found me the best porter, Richard, who helped me create some of my best chimpanzee videos during four days of trekking. On two of those four days, I was completely alone with the chimpanzees and the trekking team. I had not even asked for this, so I really appreciated this personal attention. Richard was incredibly helpful while filming and always tried to find the best position and angle. If you are planning a chimpanzee trek in Kibale, I highly recommend asking for porter Richard and chimpanzee guide Jolly. Chimpanzees can suddenly appear from completely different directions, and Richard and Jolly always helped me get the best view and the best footage. They also shared so much interesting information about chimpanzee behaviour and their lives in Kibale. Richard also touched me deeply when he gave me a beautiful large wooden chimpanzee figure as a gift, saying that it would help me return to Uganda sooner. ❤️ I will definitely remember that. In Murchison Falls, we almost never went back to the lodge for lunch because I wanted to spend as much time as possible looking for animals. Bosco worked almost without stopping — sometimes without lunch and even without breakfast! He even bought me a banana T-shirt and danced for my video! 😂 I really appreciated his dedication and willingness to adapt the safari to what I wanted. The organisation by Safari Vacations was, as always, excellent. Jason had prepared everything perfectly. The lodges were good, the prices were flexible, and everything happened on time. There was one unexpected problem on the way to Kibale. We were almost at the lodge when our vehicle broke down in the middle of the road. The gearbox had failed, so a replacement gearbox had to be sent from Kampala and the car was repaired at a workshop. In the meantime, Safari Vacations arranged another vehicle for us in Kibale, so this caused me absolutely no inconvenience, and my trip continued as planned. Unfortunately, safari prices have increased because fuel prices have skyrocketed, but I still felt that the organisation and service were worth it. Uganda is simply incredible. The wildlife is unforgettable, and the people are some of the kindest and friendliest I have ever met. And one final piece of advice: don’t forget the tips — and don’t forget to bring your smiles! 😊 Thank you, Safari Vacations, Bosco and Jason, for another unforgettable journey. We had a life changing experience We can't pick a favourite moment as there was so many. Seeing all the big five up close and personal was very emotional The accommodation and food was incredible verything was perfect. Our guide Vincent was amazing he was very informative and nothing was a problem he made our trip very memorable Jason was great with the bookings nothing was problem. Absolutely life changing. We have met so many wonderful people whom we will be staying in touch with. The places we visited were phenomenal. The animals will take your breath away. Safari vacations were brilliant with absolutely everything. Our guide was so knowledgeable on all things Ugandan. We really didn’t want to leave.

Highly recommend Safari Vacations and Travel. Jason was amazing: looked after our every need, was very knowledgeable and kind. Uganda is beautiful: its nature, animals, and the warmth of its people. We had the best time, our lodges were amazing, the food was great, and we saw lots of animals. We did the chimp trekking in Kibale, land and boat safari in Queen Elizabeth, saw the climbing lions in Ishasha, visited local communities and did the gorilla trekking in Bwindi.

Had an amazing time during our trip to Uganda. Got to see all kind of animals (chimps, gorillas, tree climbing lions, feeding hyenas, buffalos, elephants, hipos, crocodiles). Thanks Jason for being such a wonderful host!!!

Fantastic experience where you can see many animals up close. Edgar was my guide. A friendly and helpful man. During the trip I was provided with sufficient information and the planning was always clear. I booked a budget tour but the accommodations were still luxurious and the food was exquisite. The permits for the parks make the trip a bit pricey but it was a unique experience and definitely worth it!

It was an incredible trip. We spotted a variety of wildlife and enjoyed countless wonderful surprises, leaving us with precious lifelong memories. Our driver Bosco was fantastic: he drove smoothly, was warm-hearted, thoughtful and took good care of us throughout the whole journey.
