10-Day Galapagos Multi-Sport

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10-day Galapagos experience. Gabriel Salas was an excellent guide. We appreciated his effort to ensure we saw as much of the wildlife and natural areas as possible. He was knowledgeable, personable, attentive to our needs and sincerely dedicated to his job. We especially enjoyed the snorkeling in spite of the frigid water. We had excellent service at all of our accommodations. The rooms were clean and met our basic needs. I highly recommend this tour and would definitely request Gabriel as a guide.

This was incredible in every way seeing a great variety of animals we have never seen before. Gabriel Salas went far out of his way to show us, sea lions, marine iguanas, bottle nose dolphins, gigantic sea turtles, white tipped sharks, red crabs….and the icing on the cake blue Blue footed boobies nesting with chicks. Gabriel made sure that we had top notch equipment, making sure that we knew how to use it. He dove with us taking incredible footage with his GoPro which he airdropped to us. His footage impressed the heck out of our friends and relatives. Best of all he had a terrific demeanor, and a great sense of humor. He is a very likable man. He turned our trip from an adventure, to a life changing experience. Gabriel Salas….Gracias!!!

We had a fantastic time on a family adventure exploring the Galapagos. Our guide Emma made sure we saw all sorts of amazing animals, shared her extensive ecological knowledge, and made sure we enjoyed all the activities on our busy schedule. She went out of her way to help us with any request.

Incredible experience observing wildlife and natural beauty with close friends and knowledgable guide. We enjoyed the variety of activities for viewing the sea and land life. And best of all, few crowds this time of year, late April.

Ariana was our guide and she was so knowledgeable and attentive to all of our needs! The multi-sport activities were moderate activity level - no problem for 60+ active women. The snorkeling in particular was delightful ! Saw seahorses, sea turtles, sea iguanas , sea lions , & black tip reef sharks. Walking through the lava tubes was also a unique experience. I highly recommend this multi-sport Galapagos trip with Ariana!

I'm not one to normally say "a trip of a lifetime" but this truly was and every moment exceed my expectations for the Galapagos. Me, my husband and two teenage daughters (14 and 16) did the 10-day multisport, and enjoyed every activity. Every pick up, every transfer was seem less, every boat, van, car, bike we used was clean and everyone we met was kind and forgiving with our very limited Spanish. Our National Park guide, Jefferson was incredibly knowledgeable with the multitude of species, and was excited to share his enthusiasm for the island with us. I picked this trip, because it went to three different island, San Cristobal, Isabella and Santa Cruz. I'm so glad we did because each island was special in its own way. The last day, my family went diving and I did a trip to Bartolme Island which was wonderful! When we go back to Ecuador, we will use Adventure Journeys again. The staff is incredibly responsive, very helpful, and worked with me to plan trip that has been a dream for 35 years.

We spent our first night in beautiful Hotel Basilica in Quito. Our transportation throughout the trip was on time and super friendly. The hotel staff treated us like family. Day tour in Quito with Free Walking Tour, touring the city markets, sampling the exotic fruits and food. Stopped for local chocolate, then took a bus to 0° latitude to Middle of the world. Must see! The next day we took a small palne to the first of 3 Islands, San Cristobal, Isabella and Santa Cruz. We met our amazing guide Gabriel Salas! One of the most knowledgeable and professional guides I've ever traveled with. He made the trip 5 stars!! Amazing hotels, clean, friendly staff, and great locations. Amazing and kind hosts. Throughout the trip we spotted over 40 birds ( including 2 speciea of birds, Blue-footed booby and Nazca Booby), 7 reptiles, including sea turtles. 1 mammal (Galapagos sea lion is the only mammal in the galapagos), and over 40 different species of marine life including 2 types of sharks, 3 types of rays, and many different fish like puffers, snappers, barracuda, wrasse, and parrot fish. We snorkeled 4 times, twice off the beach and twice out into the Pacific ocean where we saw sea horse, swam with penguins, turtles, sharks, and fish as well as marine iguanas. The food and drinks are delicious and affordable. We biked around a volcanic beach to see Tortise, marine iguanas, and birds. Visited a Tortise Santuary, Sierra Negra Volcano. Visited Darwins center, and hiked in underground caves, visited a sugar cane, rum, chocolate farm, ran by a local farmer, and family. Hiked into Volcan Chico, volcano cloud forest. This was the Trip of a lifetime! Can't wait to go back!

Our guides were outstanding, and the adventures chosen were tip top !… our guide on Galapagos (Gabriel Salas) aside from being personable and extremely knowledgeable had a great sense of humor which added the cherry on top !

My husband and I went during COVID in January 2022 (not July) and this group was AMAZING the whole way through the process. From early on with pre trip planning, airport transfers, and even helping to set up an additional day tour before in Mindo before we left for Galapagos. Our first guide Juan David was so welcoming and knowledgeable. He conducted the Mindo day tour which was an unforgettable experience. (The guides speak English but knowing some Spanish phrases is helpful.) Adventure Journeys really made the experience easy as they handled all the transfers between islands, gear rental, and arranging lodging. We were told where to go, when, and we’re picked up promptly. Truly seamless transport. We stayed in beautiful places with indoor plumbing and easy access to drinkable water. We experienced this wonderful area to the fullest in the days we had. Would love to go back!

This was the most amazing trip. The Galapagos are magical, and our guides,Jairo and Jonathan and our driver, Marcello, made it even more so. They were knowledgeable. observant, personal and just flat out fun, The island are very different, both physically and culturally, so it was a bonus to experience all three with guides who had only wonderful suggestions as to how to best explore and enjoy them. Well organized kayaking, biking, hiking, and snorkeling,combined free time on our own, made this trip especially glorious, Do it, if you can! You will not regret it
