1 Day Trekking - Il Sentiero del Viandante: BELLANO. VARENNA

Nadia was such an amazing guide! This hike was full of beauty and majestic scenery at every turn. We learned so much that day. My daughter was experiencing Lake Como for the first time and I wanted her to see some of these places her dad and I had fallen in love with in a prior trip. Nadia shared the backstory and history to them and now I appreciate them even more. I’ll never look at black marble the same after all those black marble stones we helped to smooth and polish as we hiked in our shoes that day!

Beautiful route in the middle of the coast, with spectacular views of Lake Como and without excessive gradients. To do at least once!

The hike was nice and passed through some beautiful scenery with the expert guidance of Nadia (the tour guide). However given that it was a hike I believe that the tour is overpriced.

For all those who love a good mountaineering experience with great views, this is for you! But that's not all... The cost of the hike was ridiculously expensive with absolutely nothing included (the entrances to the palace and gorge had to be paid separately... and not even a bottle of water was given!). So the price only includes using your own feet. The trekking experience was practically nonstop and barely given time to take photos! The descriptions given by Nadia were not always accurate. While she was informative on some things, she wasn't on others. On the whole, while the trip could be done free of charge (if you know the routes), it could at least be done with half the price requested. But nonetheless, I felt I needed the exercise, so that's a plus!

Nadia gave us the perfect day at Lake Como. We never would have had this unique and beautiful experience without her. The hike was a good challenge while still being able to enjoy the view. Nadia is also so knowledgeable in the history of the region and we learned so much. Thank you Nadia!!

As an ex travel agent, I thoroughly recommend Nadia to take you on an unforgettable day out. She is a “true local”and a professional tour and hiking guide. I noticed, whilst talking and chatting throughout the day that it requires considerable experience and training in the mountains to actually gain the qualifications and fitness required to hold such qualifications. Most importantly, she was delightful company; sharing her unique love of the many trails around Lake Como. There were many special moments - but I particularly loved just being in nature, well away from the regular tourist spots. I would love to come back and do some multi-day hikes in the mountains - I know I would be in safe hands and I would have a very enjoyable time. Many thanks, Nadia!

Wonderful Trekking experience with a real local guide. Nadia often takes my guests for walks, so I wanted to try the experience: punctual , prepared, welcoming, she told me stories and traditions of the lake that only a true "local guide" can know..... Vezio Castle is always a magical place, Nadia adds charm to the mystery..... The typical trattoria where we had lunch a real treat, and what about the history of the Orrido with all those details? That's great! Highly recommended experience, to be booked in time because Nadia's excursions are in demand.
