Located in the Peruvian Andes in Cusco, just 5 hours from the historic center, the Rainbow Mountain is becoming the main attraction to see after or before Machu Picchu. As you can imagine, the mountain is famous for its natural, multi-colored beauty at an astonishing height of 5200 m above sea level. This rainbow appearance is created by the sediment of minerals throughout the area that gives the mountain the turquoise, lavender, golden and other colors.

1 hour pick up throughout the historic center. We have a 2 hour bus ride to the restaurant for breakfast.
Stop for breakfast at the local restaurant. We have a 1 hour bus ride to the checkpoint to pay the entrance fee. We have a 40 minute ride in our transport to the start of the hike.

Hike in the Peruvian Andes for 1 hour and 30 minutes until reaching the bus station. We have a 1,40 hour ride in our vehicle to the restaurant for lunch.
Stop for lunch at the local restaurant. We will take a 2-hour trip in our vehicle to the city of Cusco. End of service at Plaza Regosijo.

We were picked up on time. Breakfast was lovely. Guide ( Evelyn ) was so helpful. Explained everything and made sure everyone knew the different options. It’s a hard walk up to the mountain but there are alternatives. Horses and bikes. She took time to let us go everywhere. Great value trip.
