Your guide and driver will greet you in your hotel lobby to kick off our journey to Zhangjiajie Forest Park. To maximize your time and stay ahead of crowds, we suggest booking a hotel near the park’s East Gate.

Upon entry, soar up the cliffside Bailong Elevator, the world’s tallest and fastest, to reach the summit in just 88 seconds. From its glass cabin, watch in awe as thousands of towering karst peaks drop beneath you.
Your guide will lead you on a shortcut to the best vantage point overlooking the main star: the ‘Avatar’ Hallelujah Mountain. Then, navigate the cliffside trails of Yuanjiajie to admire nature’s finest masterpieces like the Back Garden, Enchanting Platform, and First Bridge Under Heaven. Lunch is intentionally left flexible. Feel free to pack some snacks to keep your energy up, or enjoy lunch at your own expense on the mountain. Dining options at the summit are limited, and local dishes can be quite salty, spicy and greasy. For a lighter, more familiar meal, fast-food spots like Dicos in Yuanjiajie and McDonald’s at Tianzi Mountain are better choices.
Board the park shuttle to less-crowded Yangjiajie to admire the spectacle of ‘Natural Great Wall’, formed by rows of pine-covered sandstone peaks dating back 380 million years to the Devonian Period.
Admire jagged sandstone peaks soaring into the clouds, including the Imperial Brush Peaks and Flower Fairy Peaks. Then, relax on a downhill cable car, taking in sunset over the expansive karst forest.

We had a fantastic experience. We only had a couple of days to explore Zhangjiajie which is massive and hard to navigate, so having a local guide's help was extremely helpful. Our guide Mia was so nice and very helpful and passionate during the whole visit, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. All the admission fees were included so no surprises during the visit which is also great. Definitely worth the money!

We had a good time exploring the Zhangjiajie National Park area, thanks to our guide Christina. She was very great with communicating everything with us before and during the tour. She was patient and efficient with safely getting the group to each location, shuttle bus, and cable car. We had ample time to explore Avatar Mountain and the natural bridge.
