Zhangjiajie delivers world-class scenery. We had three days, which gave us time to truly appreciate the area without feeling rushed. This review covers all three days. First, our guide Weifang, who was so amazing she deserves special mention. She also goes by Ivy. From the moment she picked us up, she was warm, attentive, and genuine. Beyond her exceptional organizational skills, Weifang opened doors to understanding Chinese culture in ways we couldn't have achieved on our own. She's fluent in English, deeply knowledgeable about local history and culture, and incredibly resourceful. She managed all tickets, transportation, and timing flawlessly. When we had special requests—laundry, zipline bookings, cultural show tickets, massages—she handled everything efficiently. She even shared personal stories about her Tujia heritage, including her "Crying Marriage" tradition experience, which added meaningful cultural depth to our journey. Tour Highlights: Day 1: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, including Golden Whip Stream (watch for the monkeys!), Bailong Elevator, Yuanjiajie scenic area including the amazing scenery of the Avatar’s Hallelujah Mountain, Yangjiajie's Natural Great Wall, and Tianzi Mountain via cable car. Day 2: Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon glass bridge (world's highest and longest!), zip-line (extra cost), canyon pathway walk, and Charming Xiangxi cultural show (extra cost) Day 3: Tianmen Mountain with its famous Heaven's Gate, cliffside Glass Skywalk, and the incredible 7-level transmountain escalator Our family of 7 felt well-cared-for throughout. Highly recommend Zhangjiajie as a destination and Weifang as a guide!

Zhangjiajie should be on everyone's must see list when visiting China. The views are spectacular, and the cuisine unique and delicious. We were lucky to have Ivy as our guide - her stories of local folklore, traditions and history made our trip unforgettable. And despite her claim that she is not a professional singer - wow, she can really really sing!!!

We had some great days in Zhangjiajie. We visited the National Park and the Glass Bridge. It was awesome, even it was raining nonstop. Our guide Jason really knows how to do his job. He provided us a lot of information and gives us helpful tips besides the offical tour. We asked him about the theater next to the hotel and whether we can watch the show that was not included in our trip. He offered us to book the tickets for us and even brought us to our seats. Everything worked out perfectly. The driver was friendly and on time everytime. Definitiv worth the money.
