Salem from Mkbarki Travel Services is simply the best guide we have ever had in all our travels around the world. We spent eight days with him exploring almost all of Tunisia, from the cool weather in Tunis to the scorching heat of the desert. Even after all the trip arrangements, Salem went above and beyond to ensure every single detail was flawless. He was so detail-oriented that he even took care of minor things, like a tiny hotel charge for a bottle of water, just to make sure our departure was completely stress-free. He truly made all the difference. His flexibility was incredible. During the trip, we had some ideas to change our route, and he kindly adjusted everything to accommodate our wishes. He even arranged additional excursions, new hotels, and dinner reservations on the fly, which made our trip even more remarkable. His knowledge is truly outstanding. We are leaving Tunisia feeling like we earned a degree in Berber, Roman, Carthaginian, and Arab history! He is a very smart person who deeply cares about his country and wants the best for it. Traveling with children can be challenging, but Salem was incredibly nice, understanding, and respectful of everyone's time and pace at the attractions. We traveled partly by plane and mostly in his van, which was comfortable and in perfect condition. I also have to praise his driver, who was fantastic. He drove safely and calmly, and he even helped look after the kids when they got tired during some of the tours. This was one of the best trips of our lives, and I honestly wish Salem could be our guide everywhere else in the world. If you are planning a trip to Tunisia, reach out to him. Salem created a wonderful custom itinerary 8 day trip for the two of us. We had the best guide in Tunisia (hats off, Abdallah!) and a terrific, prompt, reliable, and safe driver (you did great, Faisal!). Abdallah was remarkably knowledgeable in both depth and breadth for all things Tunisia...all historical sites, current culture, food, all the way back to Berber times He knows EVERYBODY. Tunisia is a lovely country, and Salem, Abdallah, and Faisal are a wonderful way to explore and appreciate it...all with an eye on great value. Specific highlights include Keirouan mosque, El Jem, our night in the Sahara, the Bardo museum, and Dougga. Salem and Abdallah chose great hotels and dining experiences throughout. I highly recommend Salem and company for Tunisia travel.

Perfect guide in every way. Salem is a knowledgeable, kind, and extremely helpful person. He speaks several languages and accompanied us for 3 days discovering Tunis, Uthina, Carthage, and Sousse, explaining the history of Tunisia with great care. Excellent and comfortable car with driver Manuel, who was equally kind and helpful. I recommend it 100 percent, even for families, because we were 5 with two children and it was top-notch

An unforgettable experience. I booked a private tour for my family (8 people, including children and grandparents) for an express visit in Tunisia and the surrounding areas for a few hours (we were traveling on a cruise). It has been the best experience of the entire trip. Salem adapted the plan to our complete needs, showed us charming places, we ate at a typical place in the spectacular medina, and all the transfers were managed by our wonderful driver who always waited for us with the air conditioning running (very important!!). Thank you, Salem, we will definitely return to Tunisia.

I felt safe all the time. It was an enlightening and enchanting experience of Carthrage, Roman, Byzantine, Islamic empires of Tunisia. Visit to Sahara and Berber house was spiritual. We took a trip to Tunisia in May, and the experience could not have been better. We especially want to highlight the kindness, professionalism, and dedication of our guide, Salem, and our driver, Hamish, who made the trip even more special. Salem accompanied us throughout the tour with a friendly attitude and was always willing to help. His explanations about the history, culture, and customs of Tunisia were very interesting and greatly enriched our experience. Additionally, he was attentive to our needs at all times, and as a photographer, he is excellent! Thanks to him, we took home magnificent memories from the trip. On his part, Hamish demonstrated great professionalism at the wheel, instilling security and confidence in every transfer. His kindness and willingness made all the journeys comfortable and pleasant. Thanks to both of them, we enjoyed an unforgettable trip, filled with good moments and great memories. We returned a week ago from a 7-day tour of Tunisia with Salem (Mbarki Travel Services) and I can only say it was a wonderful experience. It was a birthday gift for my husband and it turned out to be a trip we will always remember. Tunisia surprised us a lot: the landscapes, the history, the people, the food… but a large part of what made the trip special is thanks to Salem and Hamish, our driver. From the first day, we felt very comfortable with them. Salem has a very personal way of teaching about the country and makes you feel like you are not on a "catalog tour," but truly traveling and understanding better how life is there. One thing we greatly valued was the flexibility throughout the entire journey. Always attentive to whether we needed to stop, recommending authentic places to eat, or helping us with anything. They even accompanied us when we wanted to buy something to ensure we didn't get the "tourist price" 😄. Everything was very well organized, and at the same time, we had the peace of mind knowing they could adapt any detail if necessary. We took away incredible memories, lots of laughter, and the feeling of having experienced Tunisia in a much closer and more authentic way. Without a doubt, we would travel again with Salem and Mbarki Travel.
