Alfredo is the best guide ever!

My boyfriend and I did a private tour with Alfredo at the Vatican and the Colosseum. He was incredible. He was extremely efficient, organized the tickets for us, and made sure we never waited in any lines. He was also extremely knowledgeable and shared a lot of history. He knew the balance of the important things to share, but to not over do it and tire us out. It was the perfect timing and felt that we learned a lot while not spending all day there. Definitely worth the price. He was also very kind and fun!! Great time with him and would recommend him 100x. We will definitely use him again when we come back to Italy.

Just back from the most beautiful trip to Rome and WOW—what an unforgettable experience! My boyfriend and I took a tour of St. Peter’s Basilica. After reading all the five-star reviews on TripAdvisor, I had high expectations—and I must say, it was the best tour of our lives. Our first guide was Alfredo, who was fantastic. Then we took a second tour with Marley, and she was an amazing guide as well. She knows everything about Ancient Rome and every story about the gladiators, explaining everything in great detail. Thank you, Eden Walks, for making our trip unforgettable.

Great way to take in an awful lot of information and beauty without getting bogged down by logistics, including ticketing, rules, audio guides, and crowds — all of it. We had a great guide, and while still crowded, it was far more manageable an experience than it would have been during peak season or on our own as individuals. My only comment is that they be vigilant about the instructions they give people. Online it said to meet at the office, but we received communications telling us to meet at a corner near the entry to the museums. My personal opinion is that it might be helpful to meet someplace where there is a toilet because it can take a while to get to where you’re going and then once you’re in the museum it’s two hours on your feet waiting your way through the crowds. I was fine, but others might prefer to meet at an office. But we did fine and I enjoyed the tour immeasurably.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very patient answering all of our questions. Seeing the art in the Museum, and then the Sistine Chapel, was an unforgettable, once in a lifetime experience. One of the greatest of my life.

The Musei Vaticani are truly a miracle on earth—so much beauty, history, and art in one place. We were lucky to have Alfredo as our guide, and we couldn’t recommend him more! He was simple, clear, and incredibly knowledgeable. He showed us all the highlights and shared so much fascinating art history along the way. We’re a family of four, and even our 11-year-old—who didn’t want to come—said it felt like a 10-minute tour and really enjoyed it. The tour was an hour and a half, but Alfredo made it fly by. If you’re planning to visit the Vatican Museums, make sure you choose Alfredo!

I’ve done a few tours with Eden walks/Alfredo as my tour guide and overall it is a fantastic experience. You can tell that he enjoys what he does and is extremely passionate about Rome and Roman history. I thought Alfredo has always been well spoken and answers all questions. And whenever I go on these tours, I always learn something new since the subject matter is so vast and they are always discovering new things! You can do the same tour and you‘ll obviously touch of some of the same things but I love learning new things and I get that with this tour. I would 100000% book with them again! Can’t wait to return to Rome and see the Sistine chapel again for the 6th time!!
