I was very happy with the tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & St. Peter's Basilica. I especially liked the communication in the days leading up to the day, via emails and whatsapp. This made everything clear to me, with regards to the meeting point, the dress code etc. As for the tour itself, our guide for the day Alessandra (Ally), was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, and kept me interested in what we were looking at. I am not really a religious person, but I appreciated the art and architecture, and the history behind them. We did the semi private tour, and I would recommend this for a couple of reasons. Firstly the skip the line feature was greatly appreciated. I knew the Vatican would be busy, but I never understood how busy until I saw the queues. So skipping the queue was a great start. And secondly, having a knowledgeable guide like Ally, made the difference. Otherwise I would have been looking around the place myself, without knowing the story to any of it. The length of the tour was around 3 hours. The fact it never felt like 3 hours to me, proved it was an enjoyable experience. It felt the right amount of time. It never felt rushed at all. The only negative I would give the experience, is something not in the control of the tour guides. It was the amount of people inside. I knew it would be a lot of people, but the number amazed me. It was very crowded in there. Even more reason to get a skip the queue tour guide. I would have hated to have to wait in line. It was a long line! In conclusion, I would highly recommend using City Wonders as tour guides for the Vatican. If you're going to visit the Vatican, you may as well do it right, and get a guided tour. And you will love it even more than me, if you are actually religious.

She made the journey so enjoyable with her great sense of humour, interesting stories, and knowledge of the history and culture of the area. she was always happy to answer our questions and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves along the way. The tour was a fantastic way to see so much of the beautiful art and architecture, and she went above and beyond to make the day special for our group. We especially appreciated how accommodating and attentive she was with all of us. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and a reliable guide.

We had a fantastic guide (Leonardo?) who was very clear, knowledgeable, and went at just the right pace with the right amount of information. Definitely worth doing - he know all the good things to show and navigated the crowds expertly.

There is a lot of walking and standing. It is very crowded. Definitely would recommend booking with a tour guide I would also recommend doing a small group tour. We had the pleasure of having Aly as our guide. She was great. Her English was perfect. She was very knowledgeable and she took her time explaining the sites. Highly recommend her.
