To make the most of this trip and make it experimental you should move to the front and to the back of this vessel to truly experience the locks.

Definitely book a boat tour on the Seine while in Paris, but no need to take the longer trip that includes the canals unless you want to sit for longer. The canal portion is interesting but slow, and if you’ve seen one canal lock you’ve seen them all. The boat was nice & the crew friendly, but I’d recommend a simple hour tour or even just taking a water taxi over this experience.

Departure dock poorly marked along the route through the park... Exceptional, eloquent guide. Historical information on the canal, the history of the kings of France, and even on the lock technique, was extensive.

The ability to text your guide ahead of time is very helpful. They are timely responsive with needed information or guidance.

1.5 hours you are sailing from one lock to another. You're in for more really annoying. Then a bit on the signal and then you can get off the boat. And I had indicated that we would also come back where we had boarded. Just choose a boat that only crosses the signal. Takes an hour and you'll see much more.

Nice Relaxing Tour with Good Info from Luke. Slow paced waiting for locks. More info could have been provided while waiting for locks. Luke was a good guide but more history & talking was hoped for. He speaks in both French & English. There was too much time without hearing info and facts.

This is a fun tour that travels through the locks of the canal of the Seine River and experiencing how the canal boats moved along the channels. Beautiful scenery and information about the river and canals.

A small, unpretentious boat, 2.5 hours passed very quickly as the tour was interesting, led by guide Lucas, with a lovely "Italian" accent, multi-tasking, professional, and with a sharp sense of humor. Many thanks to him, to the helmsman, and to Imène.

Really good and we had bonus time aboard as there were swimmers in the canal where it was not allowed. I learned a lot, and the bilingual guide was excellent. The « underground » part was fascinating but don’t go if you have issues with tunnels! I do wish the other passengers had been more polite about staying seated so everyone could see, but at least there were no selfie sticks! Much of the canal portion was shady, so even on a very hot day I’d recommend this.

This trip had something for everyone. You cruise along the historic banks of the Isle de la City, and the towering roofs of Notre Dame, on the Seine. Then you turn into the first dark lock, one of nine, that apart from being exciting in themselves (kids love the gushing sprays of water) make you marvel at the skills of past engineers. Fantastic commentary in French and English. We saw the other Paris and what a great place it is. We ended up walking back along the tow paths and finding a great little cafe. Couldn't have been better.
