Our tour guide Cristina was so wonderful and helpful during the tour! She knew a lot and gave extra information for navigating Paris and such beyond versailles. The only downside was that although our start time was 10:15am, we did not board the train until closer to 10:45am, and the tour at versailles itself did not start until 11:45am and ended at 1pm, and did not include a guided tour of the gardens. The tour itself was very wonderful and well done, but $150 per person for not even an hour and a half of a tour is a bit disappointing (nothing against Cristina! loved her). Definitely recommend booking a guided tour for versailles as that’s the best way to understand the place, but I wish it would be longer or cheaper for the length of it!
Easy meeting point and transit by train to palace. The tour bypassed the line and we were in the palace quickly. Headsets worked great and was always able to hear my guide. I've been here before and learned great new content and took new insights about some of the artwork and the lives of the King Louis' that lived there. Really liked that the tour included the gardens and we were able to explore at our leisure. You can spend whatever time you'd like exploring the grounds and be on your own to return by train to Paris. Very easy train, and we actually took it to the St Michel's Notre Dame station on same return ticket with no problem. I was with my 14 and 17 year old children and they loved it. Would do again.
Our tour guide, Véronique, was pleasant, friendly, down-to-earth, and very knowledgeable. She explained not only the history of the development of Versailles, and the complicated lives of the aristocracy (shown in the many paintings), but also the ornate and sumptuous rooms (wow, the ceilings!) and their collections of artefacts. Our group of 20+ was quite large, but thanks to the tour guide audio system we were all able to follow her monologue easily, in spite of the noise. Versailles was absolutely heaving (hence the racket!); more so than usual apparently. It turns out that the day before our visit Versailles was closed to the public because Trump was there! What a waste of a day :-/ Very interesting tour though. Thank you Véronique for such an informative afternoon! After the tour, there's still the Versailles gardens to explore - and they're enormous! You could easily spend a day just walking round them and the surrounding parkland. Plan accordingly!

Tour was great! Delara shared a wealth of knowledge regarding the palace and the royal family! My only critique is that at times she held the microphone too close to her mouth and it came out loud and distorted in the ear piece.
Will was a great guide. Very informative. My husband and I and our 17 year old and 20 year old also enjoyed his commentary and personality! And he gave us great advice about going into the restaurant in the gardens for lunch.
