Barbara is super knowledgeable and engaging. We learned so much about ancient Roman history and were left awestruck and dumbfounded by all of the innovations that the Romans created. She has an architectural background, so she was able to provide details on the design and engineering of the Coliseum, the Forum, and how the Romans built them both. From politics to culture to architecture, Barbara gave us such detailed insight on life a millennia and a half ago! We enjoyed the private tour where we could ask as many questions as we wanted on any topic, including a recipe for tiramisu!! Take the tour — you won’t regret it.

Fantastic
Wonderful experience, cultured and educated, perfect family guide. We visited the entire coliseum with her. My children are very happy; they still talk about her. Highly recommended.

We had the most amazing tour guide. We kept the tour short because we had to grab lunch. She tailored it for us and we had a great time.

Spectacular visit
The tour with Barbara was very good, we had visited Rome several times, but they never explained it so well. He is a person who knows a lot about Rome and his stories are very entertaining, plus he made the tour easy and fast (even though there were many people). I recommend it 100%

Beautiful tour of ancient Rome!
Barbara was a pleasure and gave us a very informative tour of the Forum, Palatine and Coliseum (we also toured the Vatican with her). She was passionate, witty, knowledgeable and it was very easy to communicate with in advance of our trip and after to give us travel advice! I highly recommend Barbara

Highly Recommend — Barbara Is Exceptional
Barbara is a wonderful tour guide who clearly loves what she does, and it shows in every moment. As a lifelong Roman, she has spent her life learning the history of her city, and she shares it in a way that is easy to understand, engaging, and fun. The Colosseum is awe-inspiring on its own, but the knowledge we gained from Barbara enriched the entire experience. The same was true for our visit to the Roman Forum, where her detailed explanations and stories added depth and meaning to everything we saw.
During our trip planning, Barbara was always responsive and helpful, answering questions and offering suggestions for additional tours. We ultimately booked four tours with her, and each one became a highlight of our trip. She also guided us smoothly through crowded areas, ensuring we always had the best vantage points.
The cost of the tours was absolutely worth it for the insight and understanding we gained. Our time with Barbara came at the beginning of a 54-day Mediterranean journey that included more than 15 guided tours, and hers were by far the best. We highly recommend booking with Barbara—her passion, expertise, and warmth make exploring Rome a truly unforgettable experience.

Loved our tour of the Colosseum!
Barbara is warm, friendly, and shared an abundance of information with her architect restoration degrees and fun wit! She came prepared for our tour at the Colosseum and Roman Forum with photos and navigated the overwhelming crowds and intense heat for us. Highly recommend!

The Best Tour Guide Ever!
We have been to Rome several times, visiting The Forum and Palatine Hill with other tour guides. Although those experiences were great, the tour with Carlo was magical! He is a master storyteller, an extraordinarily well-informed historian and an individual with the energy and enthusiasm to make you never want to end the tour! Thank you Carlo!
