We knew it would be very hot while we went there, but Mena took us to as many shaded areas as possible. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions, it was a great tour, despite the heat. The wine tasting was also perfect. My friend had an egg allergy, so the few food items with egg were altered for his portions. For example, I had cheese ravioli, which uses egg in the pasta, and he got gnocchi, with no eggs. We both loved our dishes, and the wines were all fantastic. It was also shaded with a view of Vesuvius, perfect for relaxing after the hot tour. We took a train from Rome with a pickup in Napoli, the Starhotels Terminus is across the street from the train station. It made for an easy day trip, as long as you don't mind waking up early.
Our tour guide for Pompeii was excellent and the winery was beautiful with good wine and food. Would recommend this to anyone.

Very pleasant experience. Doing a private tour is really fantastic. Our guide, Dario was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We were able to walk around at our own pace on the site of Pompeii. Lunch was delicious! Nice little winery which you wouldn't expect on the outskirts of town. Delicious wines and great food. One of the best honey we've ever had. Simply had to buy a jar! Definitely recommend this tour.
One of the best tours/activities I’ve ever experienced! Lilian was a fabulous guide through Pompeii, even with the heat wave mid day! She kept us cool and entertained. And the winery was fabulous - great food , service and scenery!

Our experience with Taste the Experience was awesome!!! Gennaro was great with always communicating with us and getting everything in order !!! Sofia the manager was very helpful too ! We also cannot say enough about our driver Giacomo !!! He was a lot of fun and got us safely to and from ! We would highly recommend this tour!!! Our tour guide Danielle was so passionate about the tour of Pompeii and he was so informative. The winery was incredible as well !!!The food to the wine to the two servers … amazing !!! We enjoyed everyone in the group we met too! Again ….book this experience …. It was truly one we will never forget !

Sofia was our guide and she was so amazing. She took us to all the most important places to see and since it was July was very conscious of the sun and heat. I learned a lot and loved the experience in Pompeii. The wine tasting after was also wonderful. Great wine, good food and a wonderful time. The staff were awesome too!

It was an absolute perfect day with Pina's wonderful guidance in Pompeii ruins followed by wine tasting and lovely lunch.

The tour of the site was wonderful and we had a chance to see the highlights. The guide was thorough and it was a fascinating experience! Lunch and wine tasting were amazing! We were at a quaint spot with incredible views of mount Vesuvius. The food was delicious and there was plenty of wine! This is a must do tour if you’re in the area
