Fantastic way to experience Pompeii. Our guide was excellent and very informative. Pompeii is massive, and to tour the site on your own would be very overwhelming. We learned about the history of Pompeii and main highlights of the ruins. Highly recommend doing this tour with a guide. You can always walk around the ruins on your own time afterwards.

What an incredible tour. Price was fair, the length was incredible and there’s just so much to see. Had a few bad tour guides but this company was exceptional.

Excellent and informative. Could have been 4 or 8 hours and still wouldn’t have been enough time to see and learn everything. Francesca is wonderful! It got very crowded after 2pm.

Pompeii is fascinating and our guide was incredible but the one clip on headphone was terrible. The pair of headphones I have used in other Viator tours are MUCH BETTER. They drown out the sound of the huge crowds and other tour guides.

Our guide was excellent. The tour involves a good amount of walking on ancient roads, some on cobblestones, so wear comfortable walking shoes. The tour gave us an informative history of the Pompei ruins. Highly recommended it.

This tour was brilliant. The guides knowledge was first class and made the experience all that much better. Been before but this time went with a guide which I highly recommend.

Be sure to go to the gate across from Hortus at start. Francesca was very friendly and knowledgeable. She didn’t share any introduction, so I’m not sure she was an archeologist vs amazing tour guide. I wish we knew there was a current excavation we could view after the tour. We booked a car only 30 mins after tour ended, not realizing how big the area is and that we were free to roam around for as long as we’d like until it closes at 7pm. Askos Tours may want to include that in their notes for future, so you can plan better. Overall, it was very educational for 2 hour tour. Wear sturdy and comfortable walking shoes, and wear sunscreen! There’s a gift shop in the museum and at the exit with same items.
