彼女の死後 450 年以上が経ち、ウルバヌス 8 世教皇のもとで、モンテ ペッレグリーノの洞窟内で奇跡的に発見されたサンタ ロザリアの骨は、ヨベルの年にシチリアをペストから解放しました。 聖域（標高445メートル）は洞窟と一体となっている 1624 年 7 月 15 日に、S. ロザリアの骨が発見された場所です。 1629 年に完成したその構造は非常に特徴的です。 最初の部分には、岩にもたれかかっている 1600 年のファサードがあります。 中に入ると、精巧に作られた前室があります。 その直後、空に向かってドームが「開いた」状態になります そして最後に、豪華な鉄の門を通過した後、聖域の「中心」と定義できるカルスト洞窟に入ります。 1946 年 12 月以来、この聖域はドン・オリオーネ・オペラの宗教者によって管理されています。 (神の摂理の小さな働き)

カーサ プロフェッサの名で知られるジェズ教会は、1564 年にイエズス会の神父たちによって建てられ、パレルモにおけるバロック芸術の最も重要な例を代表しています。以前の構造の一部を取り入れたにもかかわらず、新しい教会は豪華な形をしており、ドームは 1683 年に完成しました。 この装飾は 1658 年から 18 世紀末まで施工されました。 1703 年から、天井と丸天井の装飾の新たな段階が始まりました。漆喰はプロコピオ・セルポッタによって行われ、フレスコ画はアントニオ・グラーノの作品です。 16 世紀後半のデザインに基づいたファサードは、階段の上に配置されています。開口部にはニッチが設置されており、そこにはイエス、聖イグナチオ、聖フランシスコとともに洞窟の聖母の像が安置されています。

Palermo Tour - Great communication on pick up location. Alex was very friendly and engaging spoke good English. We did the non guided tour so we were dropped at each location to self explore and Alex arranged a convenient spot for us to meet. 4 hours well spent. Also a very nice Mercedes minivan very clean . Would r recommend.

brand new minivan. good air conditioning. it was very hot in june. the guide Alex was very nice. the driving there is crazy scary. guide could have narrated more. the church inside the cave was beautiful. we had a private tour for 6 people for $555. a little over priced for the experience
We had a great time exploring the sites of Palermo. Alex, our guide, couldn’t have been more helpful and went out of his way to make sure we saw the sites that were most important to us, including the Palestine Chapel and the Catacombs of the Cappucci. The Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia is not to be missed!
