Wonderful presentation
Definitely need more benches in film areas. Audio guides were a little confusing and the main exhibit should be designated before spending so much time on those leading up to it. Ridiculous prices for cookies and drinks in cafe. Content was wonderful.

Tapping into those emotions again.....
The 9/11 Museum was a powerful experience. Having lived through the ordeal and the aftermath for years, I was not expecting the reaction I had - very emotional. The museum is beautifully designed, as it walks you through the events of that day and aftermath it great detail in chronological order. From live telecasts to witness testimonies, phone calls, etc., it is all set against the backdrop of the various images - it was like stepping back into time. The physical exhibits - the twisted iron skeleton of the towers, the destroyed fire engines and ambulances brought a sense of reality / levity to the tour that you cannot prepare for. The dedications are both heartwarming and gut-wrenching and when you leave you will feel the words "never forget".

Give yourself plenty of...
Give yourself plenty of time to walk through the entire museum, at least 4 hours. You can arrive earlier than your time slot and they will let you enter.

Take the guided tour
Highly recommend paying for the guided tour. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable, well spoken and passionate about sharing the events of this day and the aftermath.

Wet, rainy, crowded, and poor communication!
Because it rained so hard and the crowds were so backed up, there was no way we even knew we were supposed to have a guide. We bought the tickets from Viator but had no idea we were going to have a guide! It was very poor!

Our tour guide Charlie...
Our tour guide Charlie was outstanding. He explained both the history and meaning of the two sites, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. He used humor to make his points as well. He did a great job making sure everyone was entertained and informed.
