The Feni & Tapas tour is an absolute must for anyone visiting Goa! Mine turned out to be a lovely private tour, and my guide Petulla was wonderful — she explained the local culture and the whole process of making feni in such an engaging, heartfelt way. She made sure I got to taste a lovely variety of fenis, and every moment felt thoughtful and special. It's the kind of experience that really stays with you. Went on the Make It Happen food trail and honestly did not expect to enjoy it this much. Skip the usual tourist stops, this one actually gets you into real Goa. We wandered through the old lanes and within ten minutes it stopped feeling like a tour and started feeling like a walk with a friend who happens to know everyone. Our host had a story for almost every stall, some about a recipe, some about how the neighbourhood used to be before the tourists showed up.

We had a wonderful experience with Make it Happen and truly got to explore a side of Goa we never would have seen otherwise. The Fontainhas are a slowly discovered gem and our host Petulla, who is a Goan, was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She is a true foodie and took us to the best spots for Feni and authentic Goan food. There was karaoke at one bar, walls of graffiti in another, typical thali meals at one restaurant and the finale at a beautiful Portuguese style bungalow. Interacting with locals and hearing their stories was an incredible experience. It took us around 3 hours and time just flew by. Highly recommend doing this tour and you’ll be lucky if you get Petulla as your guide.

Our guide, Pawam, was an incredible storyteller who explained how Feni is in a Goan households. We tried three Feni cocktails and plain. My favorite was with mix of Kokum and the plain Feni. It’s a wonderful, social way to experience the modern side of Goa’s beverage culture.

Everything was beautifully paired, and by the end of the evening, we had fallen in love with feni, Goan food, and even the monsoon rains! I joined this Feni and tapas food trail as a solo traveler, and I still had a wonderful time. That said, I can easily imagine this being even more fun with a group of friends. The stops were lively, stylish, and full of character. They're exactly the kinds of places I'd love to come back to and spend an evening at in the future. Pawan was incredibly personable and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Even though I was the only guest on the tour, I felt welcome, comfortable, and never awkward. The itinerary was thoughtfully curated. We visited just the right number of venues, each with its own cool vibe, and the pacing never felt rushed. The food was delicious, the feni cocktails were a great introduction to Goa's local spirit, and everything complemented each other perfectly. If you're looking for a fun way to experience Goa's food and cocktail scene while discovering some fantastic local spots, I'd definitely recommend this tour. Vimala D'Souza took us through wonderful hidden eateries, each with its own unique charm, while sharing fascinating stories about the food, culture, and history behind every stop.
