great experience! the staff were lovely and explained everything very thoroughly. the horses were amazing, you can really tell they take care of their animals.

The female tour guide was very kind. I had a fun time.

This was a wonderful way to end our trip to Maui. Chase and Laila were great! They made sure we knew all the “stuff “ before we headed out so we’d have a successful ride. I loved being able to hang out with the horses for a few minutes after the ride. Patrick the retired horse is so lovable….get your nudges from him!💗

This horseback riding adventure was outstanding! The pre‑ride instruction was clear, thorough, and genuinely helpful, whether you’ve ridden before and need a refresher, or you’re brand new to the saddle. Our lead cowboy (I wish I remembered his name!) was calm, professional, and incredibly friendly, which immediately put everyone at ease. The horses were clearly well cared for and confident on the trail. The route itself offered a great mix of open stretches, wooded areas, and both uphill and downhill sections. The views were spectacular, and the trail guides were attentive and supportive throughout the ride. They timed the midpoint break perfectly at a beautiful overlook, where they shared fascinating history about Hawaii and the paniolos. It added a deeper appreciation for the land, the horses, and the whole experience. Highly recommend Maui Horseback Adventure at Circle M Ranch. An unforgettable and beautifully run outing.

Went with my husband and had a few other lovely couples in our group. We had such a good time, the vibes were great, and the team was fantastic. We planned a few other excursions during our trip, and this was hands down our favorite and most memorable experience. Before we rode out, they gave us a detailed demo, and while we were on the trail, the two wranglers were very attentive and made us feel completely comfortable. The horses were great, and the wranglers did a really good job pairing each of us with our horse. As you know, horses have their own colorful personalities, and it was fun seeing the similarities between the horses and their riders. The property was gorgeous, with spectacular views, and the trail was well maintained. The ranch also has deep roots in Maui, and it was really cool to experience some of that history from guides who clearly love the property and take pride in maintaining it.

This was not an adventure, but a slog. I understand it's island time and all but this whole operation was PAINFULLY, painfully slow. Three hours from start to finish, but riding time was little more than an hour. If I had to guess, the actual ride is maybe a mile and a half long, if that. I have never seen both people and horses move this slow. That said, the horses seem well cared for and the cliffside view was nice.

Breathtaking views, amazing coaches/cowboys with tremendous experience and knowledge. My son and wife’s first time on a horse and everyone made the experience very safe and exciting.

One star — our private trail ride was canceled without any advance notice. We booked and fully paid $640.90 for a Private Trail Experience for two riders on August 16, 2026. We received a booking confirmation, but no cancellation email, text message, or phone call. We traveled to the ranch at the scheduled time, only to learn that the ride had been canceled. I checked my entire mailbox, including spam and trash, and there was no cancellation or weather notification from Circle M Ranch. A simple phone call, text, or email would have prevented us from wasting a significant part of our vacation traveling to the ranch and rearranging our plans. Weather-related cancellations are understandable, but canceling a prepaid private experience without notifying the guests is unacceptable customer service. I expect a full refund and an explanation of why no notice was provided.

What a beautiful ride! Knowledgeable guides and gorgeous horses. Tapatio is more sweet than spicy! Appreciated the pre-ride training, which built confidence for the ride. All the wranglers are helpful and kind. The view from the bluff on horseback is special and something you won’t see unless you Do it. Go ride and see and experience!

We had a great time at Circle M Ranch for their morning horseback riding tour. My two kids (9 and 11) had minimal riding experience before the tour and the paniolos helped them feel very comfortable on their horses. The scenery was beautiful as we rode the trails down towards and along the coastline. Our horses were so sweet. My 9 year old says it was her favorite part of our trip!
