Monica gave us an interesting insight into Italian cooking . i particularly chose to make Lasagna because i love it but unfortunately the ragu had already been prepared earlier. overall a delightful experience and charming company.
We thoroughly enjoyed our hosts, the meal, and our host’s dog Arte! We were warmly welcomed to our host’s home, taught how to make lasagna with a traditional Italian recipe, and ate the delicious dish with the added bonus of olive oil pressed from the family’s olive trees. We highly recommend this experience!!!!!
Our experience with Monica (and her husband Paolo) was wonderful. My daughter and I enjoyed being treated like family as we learned to make authentic lasagna and sat to enjoy dinner at their table. Expect a real home, real family and real kindness and generosity. You will leave with new friends in Italy.
This was an amazing experience. The host was incredibly gracious and taught us how to make delicious lasagna. She welcomed us and treated us as family and taught us about the italian tradition of eating and enjoying life! I highly recommend this experience.
This was a true and unique class with wonderful chef in her home. The home, food, demonstration and company were absolutely wonderful! So accommodating, conscientious, and wonderful people to get to know. Very welcoming and learned a lot not just about lasagne and Italian cooking but also about regional culture as well!
The teacher was wonderful shee loves what she does i learned alot the food was delicious..there where a lot of stairs to climb!
We arrived late-my fault. Rosanna and Alberto couldn't have been more welcoming! We learned how to make homemade noodles and the sauces needed. Dinner was delicious. The wine was great too. They also had appetizers with their own olive oil! Dessert was wonderful too! We walked their property and learned about them and their olive grove. Their dog is a great dog and loves to get lovins😁 we left with recipes of everything we made and I can't wait to get home and try them! Highly recommend them!
Best Experience in Lucca Assunta and Massimo hosted us in their 400 year old home for “Lasagna Masterclass Cook and Taste” last evening. What fun my husband I had making homemade pasta sheets with Assunta! She is both an excellent teacher and cook. Also, a meaty ragu and bechamel sauce were created. We took a short break to enjoy ricotta cake and cappacino with Massimo, too. A garden tour preceded the elegant lasagna meal which we enjoyed together. They took time to get to know us as friends and fellow cooks. As their home is outside the city walls, Massimo was kind to give us a lift back to our apartment.
PERFECTO ! Rosanna & her husband were amazing hosts, The cookery lesson was very informative, hands on & fun. Afterwards we sat around Rosanna’s family table and enjoyed our delicious food, Rosanna had also printed out all the recipes, and promised to email more ! We met as strangers & left as friends. Have already recommended to people we met today !
Hosted by an amazing Italian family in Lucca. We leaned to make fresh Italian Lasagna (noodles and sauce from scratch). Learned the hosts family sauce recipe. Very warm , hospitable experience. Would highly recommend this experience and was the best day we had in Lucca. Taxi is not readily available in Lucca, so would recommend to work with the host for transportation.
