CTS hired a tour guide who they had never used before and who had not been on a Segway before. They were supposed to meet with the guide at 9:00 to train her on the Segway prior to setting up all of us and start the tour. This did not happen. The Tour guide was very pleasant but was challenged with using the Segway and several accidents occurred for her as well as with a couple of tour participants. We felt it was very irresponsible for CTS not to have trained or tested the tour guide for this experience. It was a very unsafe and unsatisfactory experience.
Elena and Umberto were extremely friendly, informative and knowledgeable of all of the wonderful sites and history that is Como! We highly recommend this Segway tour!We had a great time!!! Carol & Joe
This tour is probably one of the best fun ways I’ve spent my money in a long time. It’s not for everyone as you have to have a good core balance and be able to navigate round buildings and people whilst listening to your guide. Our guide for the day was Hector (but I’m sure that’s not how he spelt it) there was also another man (Alberto) there to help us if we got stuck or any other type of problem the Segway threw at us. There was 5 of us and our ages were from 22 to 52 years old and we were all different shapes and sizes. We met at the side of the lake near to the Villa Olmo. We had a good 15 minutes there to practice and then we set off if we needed more I’m sure he’d have helped us. Hector knew so much about the area it was a great way to get round so much of Como the town centre and little bits in and around the lake. We even stopped for a coffee break and Alberto and Hector stayed with the Segways. Hector took us into the Cathedral and explained loads about it and the surrounding areas along with the famous people who visited or were born in or around Lake Como. All in all we all had a magical 3hr trip and I know I speak for all of us when I say we for definite will be back some day to do it again. Thanks to Hector and Alberto for making our first day at Lake Como a very enjoyable one. It gave us so much information and helped us to decide what we wanted to go back to do in our short visit to the area.
