The tour is well worth your time. The tour guide Meli is well organized and keeps your interests up throughout the whole tour. Anyone seeking to know more in depth history about the Afro Panamanian history will appreciate this tour.

This tour was one of the highlights of my visit to Panama. The guide is well organized, energetic, informative and just gives a great tour for the price. There is a lot of walking so this isn’t suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The tour was about 2.5 hours.
My mom and I had an amazing time learning about Afro Panamanian culture and history. Meli was a great wonderful tour guide and provided so much historical insight and knowledge. Highly recommend taking this tour to fully immense yourself in the culture.

This encounter was more than a tour it was an experience that transcend time and space It allowed us to be transported back to a place where our ancestors survived conditions that were unimaginable just so we can be here today! The tour guide Meli is magical in how she guides us through time travel and tells the story from a view that placed you right at the moment!! This walking tour is great for those wanting to learn about the fascinating history of the Afro-Panamanian diaspora. This immersive experience included authentic Panamanian dancing, authentic cuisine (if you can, opt in for the authentic Panamanian lunch) and a tour of the Afro Antillian Museum. Our guide, Meli, was excellent! Her passion came through as she engaged us and shared her infinite knowledge on this fascinating journey through time!
