My partner and I had a wonderful time experiencing Balinese gamelan music together. This activity offered a meaningful and authentic glimpse into Bali’s cultural heritage, and everything was well organized from the booking process to the end of the session. The admission fee was clearly explained in advance and already included in the booking, which made the experience hassle free with no unexpected costs. The session lasted for a comfortable amount of time, allowing us to fully understand the instruments, learn the basics, and enjoy hands-on participation without feeling rushed. We were warmly welcomed by the local instructors, who explained the history and significance of gamelan music in a clear and engaging way. Learning about the different instruments and having the chance to play them ourselves made the experience interactive and very enjoyable, even for beginners. The setting in Kemenuh Village felt peaceful and traditional, which added to the overall atmosphere. The group size was small and well managed, creating a relaxed environment where everyone had the opportunity to participate comfortably. The instructors were patient, friendly, and encouraging, allowing us to feel fully involved throughout the session. Overall, this was a memorable cultural experience that we truly enjoyed as a couple. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Balinese traditions in a more personal and hands-on way.

We had a lovely time playing the Gamelan and learning about the Hindu culture. The guide also took us to a Gamelan factory which was also very interesting.

This tour provided us with information about Gamelan music and the opportunity to dabble at playing the instruments ourselves. We visited a forge and huge work space where the instruments are produced as well as a family owned property where cooking and Gamelan traditions are promoted. We were the only tourists present there that morning. We expected a more structured "class" with several students since we were advised by TripAdvisor that this tour was likely to sell out. The photo on the TripAdvisor site is misleading. Whatever. It was still fun to touch and play with the instruments. Gusde, our guide, provided a great deal of information about the culture of Bali, including village life. I would recommend the tour to musicians and music enthusiasts, but it may not be for everyone.
