Eka was absolutely amazing as our tour guide! He was knowledgeable, funny, kind, and overall just a good time! Coordinating transportation was simple, as he picked us up in Seminyak and was willing to drop us off in Uluwatu after the Ubud day tour. I would totally recommend him to anyone visiting. Also, he has great photography skills!

What a jam-packed day, full of new experiences and learning so much about Bali, their religion and culture. We were traveling from the US and had the best first day in Bali with Eka. He was super friendly from the beginning and spoke perfect English. He allowed us to visit all of the places that we were interested in and just waited until we were ready to leave. Aside from the places we visited themselves, Eka also shared a lot with us about Balinese culture and traditions. Me, my husband and two teens (17 and 13) have had a brilliant first day of our three-day experience with Berata. He arrived punctually at our hotel and radiated hospitality and care from the very first moment. From the start, we felt in very safe hands and he was such a rich source of information about Balinese people, culture and religion; giving us such invaluable context for the places he drove us to. Despite heavy traffic, he ensured we didn’t miss a thing; driving us first to the Ubud Monkey Forest, where he stayed by my side for reassurance: (was nervous about monkeys jumping on us, but they were very well-behaved!). He had the skills and knowledge to get us into places quickly; the temple we visited, where my husband and son partook in a purifying water plunge was unforgettable, and Berata gave us the space and time we needed to immerse ourselves in this experience at our own pace. He introduced us to the jungle swing with just the right combination of fun, encouragement and care, then gave us the time to enjoy the most delicious lunch (included), against a stunning backdrop.. The rice fields were another beautiful and immersive landscape experience, as was the waterfall at the end. Berata is clearly very experienced in giving visitors like us an unforgettable window into Balinese life and culture through his authentic commentary and the beautiful places he drives them to. We also stopped to check out some wood carving at his recommendation and bought a couple of pieces, but he exerted no pressure on us. Much looking forward to day 2!!
