Enrico was a great guide! We did a 3 hour E-Bike tour of the Appian Way. It had rained the day before, so the parts of the road were muddy, but he did a great job of helping us maneuver through it without getting muddy. He was very knowledgeable and would stop to take pictures of us along the way at the sites. We highly recommend him!
What a wonderful way to spend a few hours “in” Rome. It was great to see some of the original roads, learn about ancient funerary traditions, and see some relics, including a long-lost Bernini sculpture. The “paved” road of Appian Way is very rugged in some areas, so you do want a level of confidence on a bike as it is not smooth asphalt the entire way. Great experience and Andy was very knowledgeable and patient as we learned how to navigate the stones of old Appian Way for the first time!
Andy was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable. Ancient Appian Way portion at end too bumpy for me. Wouldn’t have hurt to be advised to walk bike through really tricky spots.
