Great Split food tour! We tasted burek, Dalmatian sweets, olive oil, wine, pork belly and cevapi, bruschetta with anchovies among others and it was all amazing. We actually returned to a couple of places to try more dishes. Our guide Lorena was fantastic. She was so kind to accommodate a gluten sensitivity with alternate options and making sure the restaurants used gluten free bread. We had fun and were stuffed by the end of the tour.

Lovely morning introduction to split
We had a lovely morning tour at 11am, great variety and set us up go explore the town ourselves. You will be very full so probably plan to eat light in the evening..we sampled so many different things, pastries, burek, fish, olive oil, very sweet lavender shop for the local drink, wines, and the green market. Our guide Lorena was very friendly and organised and kept us moving.

Great guide, but horrifically bad value
This is my second tour with Secret Food Tours. I did one in Ljubljana. Similarly this one was also awful value. There's no way it should cost this much when there are so many filler items like pastries and breads. The truffle tasting is also a joke because it's already just the samples the store offers to regular guests.
Even the main course, pork belly and cevapi are relatively cheap proteins. There's no reason this tour shouldn't include one of those fish/seafood platters you see in most Croatian restaurants. The seafood you do get is bruschetta with anchovies and the fried, small seafood (sardines, baby shrimp).
The guide was great. If I was just rating him and his added history I'd say five stars. Unfortunately he's weighed down by the poor value of this tour.

Great 1st day of vacation!
Our guide was guide, provided lots of interesting information about the country , city, culture and specific things. Loved winding through the city center’s windy alleys, paths, etc to find a small locally owned gem. Food and drink were great….would definitely do it again and recommend to others!
