The sumo experience was very good - better than we expected. It is very beneficial to have a guide to explain the history of Sumo, what’s happening in each match and all the intricacies and traditions

What a fantastic experience if you're into sports or Japanese culture. Sumo goes much deeper than what is commonly known and the Grand Tournaments are a must see if the timing works for your trip. Our guide Yuki was very informative about the history but also seems to be a fan herself, which makes the experience even more enjoyable!

Yoki was a wonderful guide. For those of us who didn’t know anything about sumo she explained its history and how the tournament worked. She stayed with us the entire time answering all of our questions and I couldn’t have asked a better guide. She was so enthusiastic about sumo that it excited the rest of us about the sport.
