Being able to see the serious morning practice of real sumo wrestlers was a very impressive once-in-a-lifetime experience. When you realize that these sumo wrestlers dedicate their lives to bouts that are often over in just a matter of seconds, it really fills you with deep respect. During the practice, the wrestlers were incredibly fierce and serious, but during the Q&A session at the end, they were so friendly, warm, and approachable. We got to ask them questions freely and even take pictures together, which made for an unforgettable memory. It was a highly meaningful morning and is highly recommended.
Very impressive to see sumo practices up close.
Thank you for joining with us! We hope you enjoyed watching these moments of serious practice.
Really exciting and educational visit to a practice session at a Sumo stable. Very well organised and a verbal guide, via a headset, to explain what was happening. Great to see the Sumo wrestlers train and interact with each other. Would highly recommend!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for choosing our Sumo stable visit! We are thrilled to hear that you found the session both exciting and educational. It’s great to know that the verbal guide via headset helped you dive deeper into the world of Sumo—we believe understanding the 'why' behind the training makes the experience much more meaningful. Your high recommendation means the world to our team and the stable. We hope to see you again on your next trip to Japan!
Experience is great for those who want to see the real, grittier side of sumo but are unable to attend a tournament. This isn't one of those kitschy shows that lean towards entertainment, but a window into the routine of an active professional stable. Location was in Asakusa and before going in we were given headsets. During the practice, a guide was feeding us information on what was going. The chairs were comfortable and the souvenirs were cute. After the practice the staff cleared out the chairs and you could take photos with the wrestlers, which was pretty cool.
