Had a fantastic experiende at this cooking class. Yuki was clear, knowledgeable and very approachable, and happy to answer questions about Japanese seasoning, ingredients and cooking styles. You are in a real home kitchen rather than the more commercial and touristic environment of some cookery courses. Everything was very well prepared and ran smoothly. We learnt a lot, had a great time and, most importantly, the food we cooked was genuinely reproducible at home, so we can put our learning into practice.

Yuki was a great host. She explained how to cook a traditional japanese home meal while we cooked it. She also explained japanese table setting and other cuisine costumes. Amazing local experience.

It was a memorable and delicious experience for us. I was planning our trip to Japan and discovered Yuki’s cooking class was highly recommended on Threads. Yuki was very friendly. I arrived at her place early and she was very happy to see us. She explained the process well and was very patience with us. She had prepped some items ahead of time and was very organized with her lessons. She made it appeared easy to cook Japanese cuisine. I can’t wait to replicate her recipes at home. Overall, my family and I had a great time. I highly recommend Yuki’s cooking class.

The class was very informative and easy to understand. There were many insider secrets regarding ingredients and cooking techniques that I didn't know prior to taking the class. Although I don't normslly cook, the food we prepared was delicious and easy enough to make at home.

Exceptional personal and hands-on experience! Yuki is very personable and engaged in what she does. The small group session allows everyone to get involved and she provides very helpful tips of the trade. Lastly, food was very tasty!

Yuki-san was great teaching a wide variety of recipes of Japanese homemade cooking staples, from scratch, that were easy to make. It required some preparation time and good time management. The main dishes we made were tonkatsu and teriyaki salmon. The other dishes included onigiri (2 types), dashi-maki tamago (rolled egg patty), miso soup, two veggie sides (green beans with sesame and pickled cucumbers). I learned not only about the techniques to cook the dishes, but also the ingredients needed for each recipe. In addition, I also learned about so many ingenious kitchen gadgets that make Japanese cooking more efficient. I had a personalized experience since I was the only student today. I really enjoyed the delicious feast we made during the class and also spent a wonderful couple of hours with Yuki-san. I highly recommend this course for those who like to cook homemade authentic dishes at home.

Fantastic!! Yuki was awesome and we learned so much and had so much fun cooking great food in her home. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. It was so fun being in her home as well and immersing ourselves more in the culture.

I recently took a Washoku cooking class and had such a wonderful experience! Yuki was knowledgeable, patient, and made the class fun and easy to follow. I learned several new techniques and recipes that I’m excited to try again at home. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and everything was well organized—from the ingredients to the step-by-step guidance. It was a great mix of learning, hands-on cooking, and enjoying the delicious food we prepared together. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who loves cooking or wants to build confidence in the kitchen. I’m already looking forward to taking another class!
