We did the 4 day, 3 night Salkantay trek with a really nice group of people, and it was fantastic from start to finish.
The day before departure, we had an information session that helped us prepare well for the trek ahead. This made a big difference once we got started.
Our guides Julio and Evans were excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable about the local culture, and their English was great too. Selso, our chef, also deserves a special mention. The meals he prepared were amazing, turning every stop into a real feast.
Everything was organised smoothly. Evans perfectly guided our group of 8 all the way to Aguas Calientes and even took us out for a final meal together before our Machu Picchu visit. A really nice touch to end the trek.
One thing that really stood out: almost everything is included in the price, only toilet paper and tips are extra. Compared to other companies that pile on hidden costs along the way, this made for a much better and more transparent experience.
Highly recommend this trek, our guides (Evans & Julio) and this company to anyone considering Salkantay!

Worth the money
Definitely worth the money they provided a lot of value that I don’t think could’ve been replicated doing it on your own. The tour guides, Roger and Fernando took their job very seriously and provided a lot of value in explaining and describing the culture. The cooks did a great job with their meals at night. Overall pleased with the outcome.

Salkantay 4D trek
We had an amazing experience on the 4D Salkantay Trek with TreXperience. Everything was well organised and all our questions were answered promptly. Our guide Julio was excellent, supporting us throughout the trek and giving interesting information about the mountains and history. Evans was also amazing and helped us with everything.

The hardest thing I have ever done
I was doing it while being sick, so I am not the best example, but overall I liked it, it was not too hard and the guides was great, fun and interesting, especially Roger.

10/10 Trek Experience with superb service
Me and a friend had a wonderful experience with the 4-day-Salkantay-Trek through TreXperience. Our Guide, Tony, was the perfect fit for our small group of 5 travellers. He was a very competent navigator, manager, lecturer but also a very fun companion throughout our time. The meals cooked by Elisabeth and Rosmel were fantastic, super tasty, nutritious and suuuper filling. We are very thankful for this adventure and especially for the superb service (everything you could think of, was taken care of). We felt challenged, but for a normal sporty or fit person - the 4-day-Salkantay is super managable. I personally should have taken 1-2 more layers of clothes, as weather is really unpredictable and can get really cold and wet. If you are looking for a fun and picturesque trek without the hassle of selfplanning, booking, navigation and meal management, you should definitely take this offer into consideration, which is worth every penny (or even more to be honest, as we made unforgettable memories and made new friends on the way).
