Not the Chef/Resturants Fault. Booked with TripAdvisor/Viator over a month again. My tickets was confirmed. When I showed up for my cooking class at 10am today the restaurant was closed and the chef had no information that I had scheduled a cooking class. Not the Chef fault but TripAdvisor did not get him the information. I called TripAdvisor Viator and waiting for a response on a refund $179. 00. Such a bummer I am in Lucca to cook.
The cookery class was absolutely excellent. Chef Paolo Monto was wonderful. The range of dishes we were taught to cook was wide and varied. We were taught knife skills as well as cooking. I can’t recommend this class highly enough. Make sure you go hungry since we ate , each and every dish we cooked which amounted to 12 dishes! Many thanks to our great hosts. Come to class hungry. Chef keeps the food coming! Fantastic meal prepared to perfection. And the wine, fabulous. Great meal at twice the cost
We loved this class and it was definitely one of the best parts of our trip to Lucca and Italy in general. Our chef was very hospitable and we really enjoyed every part of the class. Be prepared to eat a lot of food as you will be preparing a large 4-course meal. Our favorite was definitely the veal dish with the porcini mushroom sauce. We learnt a lot of new tricks and prepared dishes we never thought we would be able to prepare ourselves.
