We had an absolutely amazing experience on this 4 day tour with Tripperhood. From start to finish, everything was extremely well organized, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Bromo, Ijen and Tumpak Sewu were all incredible and easily some of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia. A huge part of what made this tour so special was our guide, Ashar. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to travel with. He was always perfectly on time, always waiting for us whenever we needed him, and always greeted us with a smile and a great attitude. Ashar is incredibly kind, patient and friendly. We never felt rushed, even when we wanted to take our time, stop somewhere, take photos or simply enjoy the views. He genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible and was always happy to help with anything we needed. He also has an impressive amount of knowledge about Indonesia, East Java and all the places we visited. Throughout the trip he explained so much about the different areas, local culture, history and the sights, and was always happy to answer our questions. After spending four days together, it really felt like we were traveling with a friend rather than just a guide. Ashar made an already incredible trip even better. The whole tour was excellent value for money, very well planned, and everything went smoothly from beginning to end. We are super, super happy that we chose Tripperhood and would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting East Java. And if you can request your guide — ask for Ashar. You won’t regret it! I booked this 4 day / 3 night private tour to explore East Java, and it was the best solution I could find! The tour was very well organized, the hotels clean and well confortable, and the car was spacious. Ayub (our guide) and Candra (our driver) were so helpful in customizing our schedule, necessities, and guiding us during the various trek. The views Mount Bromo, Ijen, and Templar Sewu were incredible. I 100% recommend this tour for East Java.

I booked my tour with Tripperhood to explore the eastern part of Java Island, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with my choice. From the very beginning, communication via WhatsApp was fast, friendly, and highly professional. They explained everything clearly and provided us with a very detailed information pack outlining every service included in our itinerary. Everything went exactly as planned, without a single issue. This is one of those companies where all you have to do is enjoy the experience, because they take care of absolutely everything. I’d like to give a very special mention to our guide, Ashar, because his work was simply outstanding. I truly felt that he went above and beyond for us throughout the entire trip. He wasn’t just a guide taking us from one place to another. Ashar studied Indonesian history, and it shows in every explanation he gives. He shared the country’s culture, traditions, customs, and cuisine with incredible knowledge and genuine passion. We could talk to him about anything, and thanks to his insights, we were able to understand the real Indonesia, far beyond the typical tourist attractions. What made the experience even more special was that he personally accompanied us on every excursion, almost like another member of our group. It may sound like a small detail, but it made a huge difference. The activities are physically demanding—the volcano hike, the descent into the Ijen sulfur mines, and the waterfall treks all require a good amount of effort—and throughout every challenge he was right there beside us, helping, encouraging, and making sure we enjoyed each experience safely. Always with a smile, an interesting story, or a few words of encouragement. We feel incredibly fortunate to have met someone like him. Professional, approachable, thoughtful, kind, and always willing to help. He is, without a doubt, one of those guides who turns a great trip into an unforgettable one. We also want to thank our driver, Ivan, for his excellent work. Our itinerary involved extremely early starts, and every single day he was there on time with Ashar to pick us up. He drives with remarkable care and confidence, knows the roads of Java inside out, and made us feel comfortable and safe throughout every journey—something we truly appreciated in a destination like Indonesia. If I had to mention one aspect that could be improved, it would be the hotel in Bromo. It was noticeably below the standard of the other two hotels included in the tour. The room was small and not particularly comfortable, there was no air conditioning, and although the hotel was called Mountview Cottage Bromo, our room overlooked a corridor rather than offering any kind of view, and it didn’t even have a terrace. This was a little disappointing, as it didn’t match the overall quality of the experience or the high standards set by Tripperhood throughout the rest of the trip. I believe this is a relatively simple change that could make a significant difference and further enhance an already excellent tour. Overall, we are absolutely delighted with the service we received. Tripperhood has proven to be a reliable, well-organized, and highly professional company that pays attention to every little detail and surrounds itself with outstanding people. That combination makes the entire experience worth every single euro. Congratulations on your fantastic work! Me and My Friends had the most amazing experience with our guide! From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized. She took great care of every detail, including our hotel, transportation, sightseeing, and meals, so we could simply relax and enjoy the trip. Our guide, Ririn, knew the best times and routes to visit each attraction, helping us avoid the crowds whenever possible. Thanks to their experience and careful planning, we were able to enjoy many beautiful places in a much more peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. She was also an excellent photographer and knew exactly how to capture beautiful photos at every location. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and always made us feel comfortable throughout the journey. What impressed us the most was her dedication. Even though she was feeling unwell during the last day, she continued to look after us with professionalism, kindness, and a positive attitude. We truly appreciated her hard work and commitment.
