We had a fantastic experience with Java Adventure Trail and would definitely recommend them. Our original itinerary included a visit to the Ijen Crater. Unfortunately, the crater was closed during our trip due to the current fires in the area, so visiting Ijen was unfortunately not possible. However, the team reacted very quickly and professionally and arranged an alternative rafting experience for us at Pekalen Rafting. This was a great solution and turned what could have been a disappointing change of plans into another memorable experience. A special thank you goes to our guide Rahman and our driver Nuril. Rahman was always helpful, friendly and attentive, accompanied us during the activities and was happy to take photos and videos for us. Nuril was a very reliable and safe driver throughout the tour and made all the long transfers comfortable and stress-free. The organization of the tour was excellent, from the hotels and activities to the transportation. Communication was easy, and whenever plans had to change, the team handled everything quickly and professionally. We really enjoyed our time in East Java and are very happy with how the tour was handled, especially given the unexpected closure of Ijen. Thank you to Rahman, Nuril and the whole Java Adventure Trail team for a memorable experience!

The five days with Yogi and Bams were wonderful! They were incredibly humorous and attentive. They often spontaneously made something possible on the fly to make the trip even more varied. Lunch at a great restaurant with beautiful grounds, some interesting food stalls, spontaneously cheering at a village soccer game, visiting a palm sugar production facility, and much more. In the end, it was a tour where you didn't have to worry about anything and were in the best hands from start to finish. Thank you for everything!

We had an amazing experience on our Mount Bromo, waterfall and colourful village tour with Dino, and we honestly couldn’t recommend it enough! Dino was such a fantastic tour guide from start to finish. He was always happy to help and genuinely wanted to make sure we were doing exactly what we wanted. He never made us feel rushed and gave us plenty of time to enjoy every activity. He also knew all the best spots and times to visit, meaning we managed to avoid the crowds and enjoy the experiences Dino was always making sure we got the best pictures and even kept buying us different local snacks on the journeys! Every activity we did was absolutely beautiful, and the whole three days were really well organised and we had enough time each evening to relax which definitely made the early starts much easier! The accommodations we were booked into were also really lovely and made our evenings even more enjoyable. Our driver was also brilliant, very efficient, safe and always making sure we had plenty of water throughout the journey.

Tourguide Raafi and our driver Nuril made this trip absolutely unforgettable. Raafi was incredibly friendly, joyful, and professional throughout the whole tour, and he knew the local areas so well, always recommending the perfect spots for food or a quick break. Nuril was equally fantastic, with perfect timing and reliability on every leg of the journey, we always felt safe and never had to worry about schedules. Together they made a great team and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend booking with them.

We would like to share a little more about our experience with Java Adventure Trails and the overall organization of our trip. We originally booked the 4 Days / 3 Nights tour through the official website. Even before our trip began, however, we received excellent advice about the different tour options. The team was very helpful in recommending the best starting and ending points for our journey, especially considering our planned onward travel. This made organizing the rest of our Indonesia trip much easier and showed us from the very beginning how professional and customer-oriented the company is. Unfortunately, due to the wildfires at the beginning of our trip, the Mount Ijen visit had to be cancelled. Of course, we were very disappointed, as we had really been looking forward to experiencing Ijen. However, the situation was handled incredibly well, both organizationally and financially. After discussing the options with our guide and the organizer, we mutually agreed to shorten our planned tour from 4 Days / 3 Nights to 3 Days / 2 Nights. The adjustment was completely straightforward and fair. We were also offered an alternative two-day Mount Bromo tour, including both sunrise and sunset, which we really appreciated. It was reassuring to see how flexible and solution-oriented the team was in dealing with an unexpected situation that was completely beyond their control. The tour itself was absolutely fantastic, and our guide Albert and our driver Rico were a truly wonderful team. We were picked up directly from the train station in Surabaya and, at the end of our journey, brought back to the airport perfectly on time. Everything was smooth, well organized, and stress-free from beginning to end. Throughout the trip, Albert was an exceptional guide. At every stop, we could ask as many questions as we wanted, and we learned much more than just facts about the sights we visited. He shared fascinating insights into Indonesia, its traditions, festivals, culture, and many local customs that we probably would never have discovered on our own. You could really feel Albert’s many years of experience as a guide in every aspect of the tour. One thing we especially appreciated was how thoughtfully he planned our schedule. Our wake-up times, routes, and stops were carefully chosen to help us avoid the biggest crowds and encounter as few other tourists as possible. This made many of the experiences feel much more personal and special. Despite the early mornings, the schedule was still perfectly balanced: we had enough time to enjoy the beautiful hotels and relax a little after the short nights. And as an added bonus, we are now the proud owners of a huge collection of amazing holiday photos—all thanks to Albert, who took countless fantastic pictures of us throughout the trip! Everything included in the tour was handled exactly as promised. All costs were covered as agreed, so we never had to worry about entrance fees, tickets, or dealing with ticket controls ourselves. This allowed us to simply relax and fully enjoy the experience. We stayed in beautiful hotel properties located very close to Mount Bromo and the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, which made the logistics incredibly convenient. We were provided with water every day and felt well looked after throughout the entire journey. And then there was Rico, our driver. Driving in Java can feel absolutely unbelievable and chaotic compared to what we are used to on German roads, but we felt completely safe and comfortable with him at all times. His driving was incredibly professional, calm, and confident, even in situations that looked absolutely crazy to us! Honestly, if we could choose, we would happily have Rico drive us around for the rest of our entire holiday. Overall, we had an unforgettable experience with Java Adventure Trails. Despite the unexpected cancellation of Mount Ijen, the team handled everything professionally, fairly, and with great flexibility. Albert and Rico made the journey even more special, and we always felt safe, well organized, and genuinely cared for. We can wholeheartedly recommend Java Adventure Trails to anyone who wants to explore Java without having to worry about logistics while also gaining a deeper understanding of the country, its culture, and its people. We did the 4 day tour (Jodipan, Tumpak Sewu, Bromo and Ijen) and it was amazing! Our guide Yogi showed us all the beautiful spots, and our driver Faid got us everywhere safely. They also let you choose between some options, for example which viewpoint in Bromo you would like to visit. Whatever question you have, they go above and beyond to help you with it. A nice bonus for Dutch speaking people: Yogi can speak very good Dutch as well. For the stays we chose the budget option, and they were really nice (in our opinion). Everything was taken care of! We would recommend the organisation and both Yogi and Faid!

We had the most amazing time on our 4D3N tour. Dhani our guide was absolutely fantastic, sharing real inside hints and tips to enjoy the amazing things we saw even more. Our driver Gufron was also fantastic, getting us around quickly and safely - we managed to see so much more than we thought because of the both of them! I can't really decide what the highlight was, the unreal view of Bromo, walking round the crater at sunrise, getting soaked in a jungle cave waterfall in Tumpak Sewu or having ginger tea whilst watching the sun rise sat on the crater rim of Ijin. All the places we stayed were really clean and comfortable and we had no issues getting hold of food. I would highly recommend this tour (and our guide and driver) to anyone - the things you can see are out of this world. It is worth every penny!

We had an amazing 3 days exploring East Java with our guide Dhani! From the breathtaking sunrise at Mount Bromo to the incredible Ijen Volcano and beautiful waterfalls, every day was packed with unforgettable experiences. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and always right on time throughout the trip. He made sure everything ran smoothly, showed us the best spots, and shared lots of interesting stories about the area and local culture. He even invited us to his place for a wonderful breakfast! Three full days, very little sleep, but so many incredible memories! We would absolutely recommend him to anyone wanting to explore East Java. 🌋🌅💙

We had an amazing time on our Java tour! Raafi was a fantastic guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and always attentive to our individual wishes. He made sure we had a great experience throughout the entire trip. GP was the best driver! He drove quickly but always safely, and the car was very comfortable. We felt completely relaxed during the journey. The program was fantastic, including the volcano, mountains, and waterfalls. Every stop offered unique experiences and unforgettable impressions. We were picked up directly from our hotel in Surabaya and, at the end of the tour, brought to the airport, which made everything very convenient. We travelled as two friends and really appreciated how individually the tour was adapted to us. It was an incredible experience that we will remember for a long time.
