I hired the top transfer service to make a trip with my husband and my 2-year-old baby, between Rio de Janeiro, Grand Island (Vila do Abraão) and Paraty. We had to hire a private transfer, much more expensive than usual, because in the normal transfer the baby would have to go on the lap, and we did not find it safe to go without a chair since the trips are long. I can say that at this point the top transfer FALHOU. In the 3 trips we made the chair was not suitable for a 2-year-old baby, and always came broken/incomplete. THE AMOUNT OF HOURS LOST: We climbed 8:30 am to arrive only at 13 hs to Angra and from there WAIT 2 MORE HOURS until the boat schedule. At every point they stopped, WE HAD TO WAIT. I mean, an Uber ride would have been for half the time and not much more money. While the return had fewer waiting times at each point, it occurred to the driver that it was okay to park 3 blocks from the meeting point they asked us to drag the bag those 3 blocks up.
