Excellent team, they speak several languages.

I was very apprehensive about going up Etna because I hate waking but my partner was very keen to walk up. We saw the company at the car park and they explained about the walk and we signed up. They gave us boots and helmets and jackets and all the equipment we needed as part of the fee. We took a lot longer to get to the meeting point as we walked up rather than get the cable car and the tour man waited for us to get some water and rest before we started the tour. I did not have high hopes that I was going to enjoy any part of the walk, but I really enjoyed it. The tour man was so knowledgeable about the volcano and had an answer for every volcano question anyone asked. He showed us some amazing videos of the volcano eruptioning when we passed the craters. He clearly loved the volcano and his job and his enthusiasm for it made the trip really fun and engaging. I barely noticed how long we had been walking by the time it was over. He managed the pace of the trip really well, with enough rest stops to manage the fatigue, all done at perfect places where there were things to look at. He was very considerate of eveyone’s wellbeing and we all felt very safe under his guidance. Even my teenage daughter who literally hates everything had a great time! We particularly enjoyed being taught how to walk slide down the slopes on the descent! A wonderful day had by all and would highly recommend.

Could not have asked for a better tour operator and guide to go with! Gianni our guide and his brother Dario were so helpful and professional throughout all the way. Communication was excellent over the whole booking process (and the tour itself). The week I wanted to book unfortunately there had been some poor weather, however Etna Blaze were always honestly setting expectations regarding weather conditions and safety as a priority (not the same experience I had with other operators I contacted- who either ignored or tried to push ahead for a tour, regardless of the conditions). In the end I rescheduled to another day with Etna Blaze and do not regret it at all. Being on mt Etna is magnificent on its own, and Gianni’s knowledge, pace, friendliness and guiding style all made it an even more enjoyable experience.
