This was our first time to Shanghai or China for that matte, so booked a guided trip. I would highly recommend Travel China China Guide as a company and Ryan as a guide, he provided us with an excellent trip, from greeting us at the hotel to the car journeys with driver to the trip itself and an entertaining and tasty lunch. Having a guide made the trip really easy, fun and stress free. We also enjoyed discussing all things China related and learnt a lot. Highly recommended, thanks Ryan!

Our guide Kris was very friendly and full of information! We learned a lot when visiting Zhujiajiao, Yu Garden, and about the European quarter while on the river cruise. He was also very helpful if we had any difficulty translating things, and gave us great suggestions on food/restaurants to try, as well as places to visit in our free time. I would recommend Kris as a guide, and would love to visit Shanghai again.

We have had unforgettable memories of Shanghai . We stayed at The Indigo Shanghai Bund Hotel, from where we could soaked in The Bund incredible scenery day and night until the lights switched off at 10:00pm . We were lucky to have Sophie Lee as our local guide . She always went an extra mile to make sure we had the best of Shanghai . She is knowledgeable and professional as a guide; also helpful and intuitive . We’ve got some tips from her where and what to do in the evenings when we were on our own .

This was the first stop on our 18 day tour of China, assisted by Travel China Guide. We met our guide Helen and everything went like clockwork! She was very experienced, we loved the boat ride through Tongli and ambling through the shopping streets of Tianzifang. We loved the different gardens! Helen was very knowledgeable, and because of wet weather, Helen helped us tailor our itinerary by switching out a Bund walk and instead squeezing a trip to the brand new Shanghai East museum instead! Our hotel was on the Bund so this was perfect for us! Thanks Helen!

Before we arrived in Shanghai, Sasa, our tour guide had already made contact with us via WeChat which made us really look forward to our holidays and felt welcomed. She is friendly, knowledgeable and very accomodating and made sure that we are comfortable with the hot weather. She is really good in taking lots of beautiful photos for us. The highlight for me was that she has bought a birthday cake for me and delivered to my hotel on my birthday which was so touching. We really enjoyed our short stay in Shanghai especially to Tongli where Sasa brought us to the historic places and we got to experience the ancient water village. Will definitely recommend Sasa for her great customer service and friendliness.

We had an amazing time in Shanghai. Our personal tour guide was Mary and she was amazing. Mary’s English language was great. Mary showed us all the sights that we wanted and gave us the history of the areas. Mary was very considerate to our needs. Definitely recommend.

Possibly the most beautiful modern city in the world. Embedded in an ancient civilisation which is thriving today. Our private guide Martin made us fall in love with Shanghai. Knowledgeable, kind, always available to help without being invasive. Thank you Martin.

Shanghai has been our last stop in our 15 days China tour. We spent 3 amazing days visiting this wonderful city guided by Martin, one of the most professional and proactive guides we have had in China. Thanks to him: - we spared the 3h line wait for the Shanghai Tower and went directly to the luxury bar at the top where you can enjoy the same view in a much more relaxed ambient while taking a drink. - we went to the historic Dumpling restaurant in the old town where we tasted a variety of dumplings we could have never imagined. - we were introduced to unique places for shopping. - we enjoyed all and every of Shanghai highlights we visited with detailed past & present explanations, curiosities and anecdotes. Shanghai is INCREDIBLE! well worth a 3 day visit. Most of its history is now well hidden below the super-modern look, ensure to get a well-informed professional guide!! Old Town walk by night is a MUST. Ancient Water town definitively NOT TO MISS. Leave at least half day for shopping, or strolling around.
