We had a wonderful half-day tour of Zhujiajiao Ancient Water Town with Peggy. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging throughout the entire experience. What made the tour especially enjoyable was that Peggy shared much more than just the history of Zhujiajiao. She gave us fascinating insights into Shanghai, Chinese culture, local traditions, and everyday life, which added so much context to everything we were seeing. Walking through the ancient streets, canals, bridges, and local food spots with her made the visit feel much more authentic and meaningful. We also really enjoyed trying the local delicacies and learning about the traditions behind them. Peggy was an excellent guide—professional, warm, and genuinely passionate about sharing her knowledge. We highly recommend this tour and especially Peggy to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to experience Zhujiajiao beyond the typical tourist highlights.

I booked the Zhujiajiao Watertown with Jenny’s Shanghai Tours. Dena was my private tour guide and she was great! She is a world traveled tour guide as well and we had so much fun and so much to talk about the ride to and from and our time in the Watertown. I didn’t realize that the town was an hour away from my hotel in Shanghai, but the DiDi (like Uber) went seamlessly. I enjoyed exploring and learning about the historic town. I would recommend this tour with Dena or any guide that Jenny’s tour provides. Jenny’s tour provides high quality knowledgeable guides. Thank you Jenny!

Zhujiajiao is an incredible place and absolutely worth visiting.While something did not go exactly as planned, I would like to highlight the professionalism of Jenny’s Shanghai Tours. When an issue arose, they took responsibility and handled the situation at the highest level.

Caroline was amazing we had the most spectacular day. She showed us the gardens in the town, we went on a boat ride, fed the fish, pet cats in a Cafe, and had the best lunch. She had so much history and knowledge to share. We really feel like we are back in history in this gorgeous, ancient town. You cannot go to Shanghai and miss this, it was a 10/10 tour! We are coming back with beautiful photos, epic memories, and full bellies. Thank you Caroline!

This was my favorite village that we visited. It was so beautiful and peaceful. I wish I could have stayed there longer because it felt way too fast. Tour guide was very friendly.

Troy was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable, kind and helpful. We saw Watertown, went on a gondola and ate a sticky rice dumpling. The next day we went to see the Jade Buda Temple, the Bund and shopping. Troy had lots of patience. Then we had a wonderful lunch. I tasted different kinds of dumplings.
